First-time traveller with Albatross Tours
As a first-time traveller with Albatross Tours, I was impressed with how well organised and seamless the tour was. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and his commentary each day on the bus was excellent.
At the Welcome Dinner I was disappointed that we had to write our own names on a name tag with pin which we would wear the first few days while getting to know other passengers. I was expecting a printed name tag or lanyard with the company name and my name already provided. This would have been advertising for Albatross and a more professional way of travelling. Also, it would have been nice to have stand-up drinks before the Welcome Dinner on the first evening as a way to introduce ourselves, mingle, and get to know each other in the early stages of the tour.

Thank you, Liz, of your recent Ireland Connection Tour.
We appreciate your feedback on the name tags at the welcome reception. The name tags are only for the Welcome Dinner and for personal safety reasons, we have not included branded or printed name tags since 2016, though we understand your perspective and will investigate this internally to see if improvements can be made, along with the wider experience on the first night.
We’re so pleased your first Albatross experience and our Tour Manager impressed you, and we look forward to welcoming you on another tour in the future.

A worthwhile experience!
Overall, the trip was fantastic. Our guide, Elizabeth, was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the areas we visited. Our driver, Massimiliano, was also very good. I liked the itinerary overall, although I would definitely have liked to stay at the hotel in Rieti a bit longer. I definitely appreciated the free time that was built into the tour. Often this was spent with our tour participants, but we could also take time to explore on our own or rest when needed. The one downside of the whole trip for me was the hotel in Chianciano Terme. It definitely didn't live up to my expectations and I would recommend Albatross looks elsewhere in the future.

Thank you, Rachel, for sharing your review of our Hidden Italy, the Lands of the Etruscans tour. We’re delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your tour overall. It’s wonderful to know that our Tour Manager Elizabeth’s, knowledge and guidance, along with Massimiliano’s driving, made such a positive difference to your journey. We’re also pleased you valued both the itinerary and the balance of included activities with free time to relax or explore at your own pace.
We do appreciate your feedback regarding the hotel in Chianciano Terme and will take this on board as part of our ongoing review process. Your comments about Rieti are also noted, and it’s great to know that destination left such an impression.
We hope to welcome you back on another Albatross adventure in the future!

We were disappointed that Albatross did not respond to our reviews & a couple of comments we made- unfortunately those comments are now out of mind.

Five stars for experiences and accommodation.
Our tour of Ireland was everything and more than we imagined. Albatross booked five amazing hotels, all in convenient locations to attractions and town centres. The excursions were wonderful with mostly local guides. Our Albatross tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about Irish history, culture and was great with suggestions for our free time. The bus driver was always very professional.

Excellent tour covered so many aspects of Ireland. Small group was ideal .visited so many beautiful places. Bus driver was amazing, nothing was too much trouble for him . Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable giving us a great insight into Irish history, language and geography . It was unfortunate that at the end of the tour when one lady required medical help the guide did not respond to her needs and she had to find her own way to the hospital.

Thank you, Robin, for sharing your review. We’re delighted to hear how much you enjoyed our Ireland Connection tour with us, and that both your driver and Tour Manager created such a rich and memorable experience throughout the journey.
We are, however, very concerned to read about the situation at the end of the tour regarding a passenger requiring medical attention, as the wellbeing of our guests is always our priority.
We would like to discuss the hospital incident in more detail, and we’d welcome the opportunity to hear from you directly at info@albatrosstours.com.au if you would like to share more detail.
We truly appreciate your balanced comments and hope we’ll have the opportunity to welcome you on another Albatross journey in the future.

I really liked the fact that we were…Best of Ireland 2025
I really liked the fact that we were travelling with like- minded Aussies and Kiwis and that we spent a few nights in the same hotels ( all of which were great). Tom was our guide for the Best of Ireland tour and his depth of knowledge of the local areas and of the history of Ireland was fantastic!
