It DOES say it is evaporative cooling but unless you actually know what that means, many people have been led to believe that it is AC! Which is absolutely is NOT!
This is a complete waste of money. It won't cool a bathroom. I put it in a small walkin closet and didn't change the temperature at all. At first I couldn't talk to anyone...on hold and nobody returned. Finally spoke to someone and they would not take it back even though there is a 30 day refund policy no questions asked. They offered to credit me 50% of price, never saw a nickel.STAY AWAY from these clowns. Also I found someone at work that bought a Frosty Fuse. We compared products and they were identical but two different companies supposedly. My workmate couldn't get a refund at all. Go buy a $20 fan on Amazon and you'll be much better off. Actually you could by 8 fans on Amazon for the same price. Vital Breeze arrived in a week and Frosty Fuse in two weeks. The tracking numbers on both started originally was China. These guys aren't even touching these things although pre shipping said our item was being carefully examined and packaged. BS...mine arrived in box with 2 corners crushed and the grill on the fan was pushed into unit. If you want to blow $160 go to the casino...you might even make some money.
Would give zero if had the chance I got six and all of them leaked water when put water in for cooling effect water just came out from the bottom awful cheap China (ad made me feel buying state side) made when saw ad thought getting where could plug in us port no just regular outlet so no cannot have 12 hours of cool air anywhere - it is a SCAM DO NOT BUY I AM OUT $195 DOLLARS and the best they could do is reship product no refunds - took more then was expected for fast delivery (7/4 was when ordered did not receive until 7/16) which I spent extra for pieces of S&&T that do not work STAY AWAY AS FAR AS YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought these because my house is anywhere between 88 to 93 degrees and is unbearable, in winter I suffer so much because I am so used to sleeping in high temps I am freezing and have to turn heat up to feel comfort this really upsets me and I hope people read these reviews before buying because they are cheaply made not what you expected to buy and DO NOT WORK!
do no recommend. does not blow any cold air. its basically a small fan. refund does not include price of shipping and they have a restock fee. do not buy

My familiarity with this product is entirely from reading about it on line. My question is always, “Where does it put the heat?” Energy can’t be destroyed, so where does the heat go? In a traditional AC, the heat is pumped out of the house. In this unit, and its siblings, the heat is used to vaporize water, which does work, but then you have the water in your space. I have to run a dehumidifier full time in my basement in summer as it is. If you live in a desert, maybe this unit will be useful, as it humidifies your air, and by vaporizing water at an energy cost of 540 calories per gram, you will get some cooling.
1. This "a/c" took forever to arrive. Somehow, I missed that it would be coming from China.
2. It's a piece of crap. I live in a very tiny studio and purchased this to replace the window A/C I have, hoping it was a new technology, but this item is nothing more than a small fan that barely puts out cold air from wet paper fabric within.
3. They eventually gave me a 75% refund ($67.49) that I had to negotiate up from 50%. That's still lower than the 15% restocking fee and shipping of $14.95. My total was $104.94, so minus shipping was $89.99. So, ultimately, they received $22.50 from an item than probably cost them $5 at most.
That's their business model. They don't even want the thing back. I doubt the owners of the store have ever actually tried one of these devices. They don't hold inventory - it just dropships from China.
I'm sure the rest of the items they sell are just as bad. Don't waste your time or money.
