The initial application and review was straightforward! No trick questions or last minute ‘gotcha’ moments. The coordination with Boatfix was outstanding and clear - it is an option to help protect our investment, not a hidden cost required to get insurance. So far we’re happy!

My overall experience was fine. I would recommend you to a friend. It was easy to sign up for a policy on line. Other than that I fortunately didn’t have much interaction. No claims or problems.
My main complaint is the time it is taking to get my refund since I cancelled the policy on the last day of the old policy and my premium had aiready been paid for the upcoming year. I feel Ike I’ve waited too long to have the money put back into my account. It’s causing me cash flow issues.
Update: Ahoy customer service read my review about the refund and remedied the issue within 24 hours. Good work. Thank you

I initially called Ahoy to add Additional Insured. I left a message, but never received a call back. Then I tried calling again (5x), but the main number to speak with an agent was not working.
When I finally reached someone, he was very helpful and resolved my request for Additional Insured.
Contacting Ahoy! gets 3 stars. The agent I finally reached gets 5 stars.

I left messages on 3 different options to try to talk to a person to fix my problem. That has been over 10 days now and I still have not been contacted by anyone. I have received 3 emails trying to sell me a boat monitor. I am starting to wonder if this is a real insurance company.

The representative who took my call was exceptionally friendly compared to most customer service representatives in this day and age. I can’t remember EXACTLY what he said at the end of our conversation, but it was nice enough to leave me with a good feeling about doing business with your company.

Please allow me to thank you for Ahoy being an honest and reliable company. I thought that on renewal my rates doubled but I was mistaken I read the invoice incorrectly the renewal annual price actually went down.. my apologies.
