We had an amazing family safari in Kenya. All the accommodation was good & we had an excellent guide. The support from African Star Tours was first class from the original tentative enquiry to the total organisation of our trip resulting in the holiday of a lifetime.

We have just completed our 8 day tour of Western Uganda, and the tour has been exceptional. Our driver/guide was friendly and very knowledgeable about the wildlife and culture of Uganda. He was also very good at bird spotting! The vehicle was a comfortable 4x4 with a Safari roof - perfect on the game drives.
The accommodation ranged from very comfortable to spectacular, many with views we will remember for a very long time. The food at all of the stays was also great, with a good choice of meals.
Uganda is a beautiful country with amazing wildlife and friendly people. If you're thinking of going, we can't recommend African Star Tours highly enough.

The trip overall was wonderful, we had a great time. The pace, variety of sights and activities were well balanced. Everything worked as expected or better. When I first saw the exclusions, I was expecting to be reaching into my pocket more than I did in reality. The only real cash outlay for our whole trip was tips and that is perfectly normal.

We were pleasantly surprised by the lack of crowds and we were the only guests for 7 of our 8 nights in the tented camps -- an unexpected treat. In Chobe the animal viewing on the hotel's game drives and river cruise were very good. The archaeological sites of Great Zimbabwe and Khami were very worthwhile for anyone with an interest in precolonial history, I'm glad we included them though it's clear they are not big tourist draws.

Mana Pools was the star, made so by the absolutely delightful crew and knowledgeable guides. The mobile tented safari was also very good and had better tents and equipment but the Zimbabwe guides spoiled us with their relentless kindness and good humour. As in so many things, the people made a big difference.

All to say I can't quite believe all this came about from a quick chat at ATS at Olympia in January. You did an absolutely commendable job in creating a smooth bespoke itinerary that did everything we asked within the specified budget. We are very grateful.

A few of the many highlights include –
The Zambezi sunset cruise which was just magical and an absolute must for anyone visiting Vic Falls.
The Rhino trekking in Matopos was fantastic. There was a small group of us with a knowledgeable guide and it really felt like a once in a lifetime opportunity.
The Mobile Tented Safari in Kariba, this far exceeded my expectations, again, the knowledge and enthusiasm the guides have is out of this world.

I will definitely look to use African Star Tours in the future & would 100% recommend them.
