Awesome time. Should be on every West Virginians bucket list.

The adventure was a blast the views were amazing and alot of fun if youve never been there before i highly recommend you go the view from the restaurant is simply breath taking

Great trip! Wish it was a little more informative

Our trip was fantastic! We rented a cabin across the street from the main lodge area. The cabin was very nice, clean and cozy. Loved the hot tub! Our rafting trip check in and experience was fantastic (Labor Day Monday is when we rafted). We had Mike as our guide and he was amazing!! So many cool history facts about the area as we went along the river! He was so nice, personable and an excellent guide. I'll request him when we come again! We had a yummy lunch along the river and got to experience some fun rapids. I look forward to coming again and spending more time in the village and doing other activities!

Second year doing the Deluxe Gauley Overnight and I plan on going again next year! I can’t say enough positive things about my experience! Very good accommodations and food, and absolutely great, knowledgeable, skilled and entertaining guides! Ray Ray was hilarious, as usual, and Brian commanded that raft like it was an extension of his body. Not a negative thing to say. Thanks for a wonderful time!

Our rafting trip was amazing from start to finish. We enjoyed the rapids, learning a bit of history and swimming. The lunch that was provided was also very good. Couldn’t have asked for a better day ☺️

Fantastic food, gorgeous campsite on the river. Our guide, Scott Bruns, made it absolutely the trip of a lifetime. I send everyone looking for a great escape to AOTG.

My husband and I rafted the marathon on the gauley. It was a fantastic trip all around. The rapids were the best! Our guide, the caveman, was awesome and lunch was beyond expectation. We were grateful to be able to shower after rafting. We will definitely be returning soon!

Capn Jack (SAWZAW) was absolutely great. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide. This was an experience I’ll remember for the rest of my life with good stories to tell. If I ever get the chance I will definitely be back.

The Gauley Throwback was a huge thrill! The six of us enjoyed paddling the upper on day 1, camping riverside with meals provided by the AOTG staff, and a blast on the lower Gauley the next day. We were really spoiled by camaraderie with the other patrons and we all had such a memorable time. While I was not personally offended by any language used by the staff or those on tour, I did have other people's teenagers touring with me and I would have preferred that our guide used words that were less coarse. Nevertheless, it was a trip I had been waiting years to take, and it was well worth it!

this was the by far the funnest outside adventure I’ve been on. We loved the TimberTrek and whitewater rafting the most; this pushed us both to our limits and we stepped out of our comfort zone. the guides were by far the best, they MADE the trips! we cannot wait to come back!

Nice, friendly, helpful, great personnel at the main reception area and at zip line center. The Zipline mgr -Sara?, Boss Lady desk plack, was very helpful and had approached us the evening before and asked if we were being helped. She answered a lot of questions and her customer service attitude convinced me -a hard sell, that this is where we wanted to zipline. My wife and I are 60+ and we both were impressed with the facility.

Our family came to AOG just to go rafting. We didn't stay at the resort, but felt welcome! We really enjoyed our rafting trip and all the historical information that we got along the way. We felt safe and our guide instructed us how to handle out-of-boat experiences at each section of the river. We had a wonderful time and hope to do it again!

We really overall enjoyed our visit! I gave 3 stars because our cabin was not cleaned properly. There was mouse feces in the kitchen drawers and the stairs were dirty. I called the office to let them know. They apologized and said they would send someone out to clean. They gave us a gift card for their restaurant so we enjoyed a nice dinner. When we returned there was still mouse feces in the drawer. Didn’t look like anything was cleaned. So I had to clean it myself. Aside from the cabin, the white water rafting was superb! Our guide Kevin was amazing! We was very friendly and made our trip so enjoyable! And our guides for zip lining Lana and Tommy were so awesome!! They were so knowledgeable about the Forest and kept us so entertained! Overall we would definitely go back to the gorge for the activities!

Our guide was knowledgeable and very experienced. It was pretty terrifying but our group had a great time! It's such a beautiful area to raft in.

Barry was a fine guide and good leader. Made things smooth when the bus broke down. Made sure all was safe on the river along with the other 2 guides. One of the highlights of our summer.

The accommodations were great. The Staff was friendly knowledgeable and helpful. It was nice to have so many options with socially distanced and outdoor. We did not think we would get a vacation, and we had a great time.
