Most of the reviews that I have read are for how helpful the staff were when making a sale. The negative reviews are for the after sales which is my experience of my purchase of a stairlift. In the first year I had a fault which was fixed. Then the part of the chair that you pulled to use to go up and down the stairs stopped working and I had to use the remote control. I told the person who came to serve it about 14 months after purchase. He said the problem was actually related to the gadget that keeps the seat belt in place but he needed to check that I had a 3 year warranty which I did. He replaced it with another one which unfortunately has come apart a few times whilst going up the stairs. I ended up putting elastic bands around it to secure it. I have been unwell and in hospital and only felt like dealing with this now. The attitude of the lady answering the phone was neither friendly or apologetic about the problem that I was having. All she wanted to make sure of was that I had a parts warranty and to tell me that I had to pay a £70 call out charge. I live 5 mins from their shop. They give you their call out charges in their information package but I thought that as I had a warranty this would be done without a call out charge. This should be made clear on their receipt. It should be written that this 3 year parts warranty is reliant on the customer paying a £70 call out charge, more if you live more than 10 miles from the shop. So I have a stair lift that not long after it's first year has had two repairs and a part that is being held together with elastic bands.

Rebecca was incredibly helpful with us and so informative with the mobility scooter we bought today. She was a pleasure to shop with and would recommend her to anyone who needs help shopping here.

Went to the Christchurch branch to hire a mobility scooter, after looking at the mobility scooters they had on offer on.
Then spoke to Rebecca who was very helpful giving advice and demo also allowing me to test drive it.
Which I then purchased.

I visited the Christchurch store this morning to look at mobility scooters and had Eddie talk to me about my options, he was friendly and informative without being pushy. I returned this afternoon to buy a scooter and was served by Rebecca who was equally friendly and helpful. I would recommend this store for its wonderful staff who made the whole experience very easy.

A big shout out to Ableworld Christchurch branch and a special thank you to staff member Rebecca for her guidance and advice during my visit into the unknown. Rebecca made me feel at ease from the moment I entered the store.
I was so impressed by her subject knowledge and her caring attitude towards customers, nothing was to much trouble for her. This made me feel at ease and able to relax and concentrate on what I was looking for. This journey has been sudden and traumatic and I would like to thank Rebecca for her help, understanding and support. Her explanations of different types of equipment and demonstrations of how they worked were straightforward and easy to understand. Great job Ableworld your staff are brilliant, thank you.
Would definitely recommend Ableworld to anyone starting out on this type of journey.

I took my parents to the Christchurch branch for my mum to have a look at the mobility scooters. We were helped by Rebecca who really took the time to make sure my mum chose the right scooter for her without pressuring us to buy. 5* service

Holidaying in Southbourne the tyre came off the rim of our wheelchair. In a slight panic we called Ableworld, Christchurch. A very helpful Dave asked us to pop by and he would have a look at the tyre. Dave repaired the tyre for which we are very grateful. Many thanks to a very helpful Dave.

Just wanted to give my honest thoughts on the service and shop.
On entering the shop we was meet with a happy smile and straight away was advised to go careful due to a small slope. I was extremely embarrassed about reason I was in but was made to feel so welcome and no trouble. Rebecca took the time and made sure we got exactly what I needed. Thank you so much for making my first experience not as daunting as I thought.

Brilliant service . Rebecca at the Christchurch shop was amazing very informative and answered all my questions, was able to try some mobility scooters before we made the purchase. Would definitely go back even though it was an hour and half journey.

Christchurch Dorset Store - I have used this store on a regular basis for both the hire of equipment and the purchase of aids.
The store is well stocked and the staff are excellent in terms of giving advice, offering options and overall desire to deliver excellent customer service.

Rebecca went through several of the mobility scooters and I decided to try *BigIF26.99ALLOW* Jolly Boot Scooter - Red 7
I was allowed to drive round the shop and felt a little concerned about driving into something but made it round the isles with no problem.
It was then suggested that I try another model but didn't feel quite so comfortable.
Rebecca was kind and showed my partner how to dismantle it and put it back together again.
On arriving back home my partner put the scooter together so that I could ride round the carpark which was empty.
I will look forward to many outings with my partner and dog.

Sadly I didn't catch the ladies name that served me but she was amazing . Incredibly patient, with a fabulous compassion and understanding for my needs. Everything was explained perfectly with no pressure. This is a purchase I was very reluctant to make but she made the entire experience a Pleasurable one . Highly recommend Ableworld
