Awful customer service. I have tried multiple times to contact this company and every time my effort are ignored. I was very clear I wanted to sign up and needed help with the discount coupon they provided on their website but just got ignored. Then I checked the reviews for the other name they trade under, Progreen, and realise they have shoddy customer service. I went instead to mowd.co.uk who were very helpful and more than happy to take my money. And they were cheaper for a better product. Your loss A1 Lawn / Progreen.

My order arrived, though a few products were missing initially and were delivered the next day. Upon opening, I realized why they were delayed; the courier had patched up a torn fertilizer bag, and about a quarter of it was gone. I reached out to A1 Lawns to address the issue, but I didn't get any reply, which reflects poorly on their customer service.

Moved at the end of May to a seven year old house whose lawns were dire - deep rooted weeds everywhere.

Used 4 in 1 to kill weeds and then deep scarification. Mixed A1 lawn seed with top soil and covered old lawn. Watered regularly and saw germination in a week! Bear in mind this was now August.

After waiting 4 weeks gave the lawns first mow at high setting. Continued to do so till date.

Now I have lawns of which I can be proud.

A1 lawn seed truly is remarkable stuff and I would highly recommend it.

So poor service ordered Summer fertiliser on 27th July 2025. Never received it so phoned them they said they will another one out and that didn't turn up. So phoned again said its on hold at hatfield depot. Few weeks after still nothing. Yet another call to them asking it a refund he said will take 10 days but nothing. Call 9 times in August and September all they say refund going through. Called yesterday he said went through 9th September but I never received a refund he told me he would call back never did. I called today on the 24 th September 2025. He said he request a new refund should be with me tomorrow. Funny came off phone to him and got a message saying I got the refund finally. From the 27th July or 24th September what a joke. Con. No one call from them all from me calling them. No offer me anything. Poor service

I placed a rather large order for fertilisers of different kind and seeds. The seeds and fertiliser did nothing! Never ever have I used a fertiliser that didn’t improve the lawn. The seeds never sprouted in the timeline they’re giving! 2 months later they did which I think was due to me spraying with 20-20-20 I got elsewhere of course. I have sent 3 emails to support/customer care and I got no response which is rather poor.

I ordered the 4 seasons seed it arrived on the 20/6/25 it’s been down 16 days and not one bit of grass has came through used so many times feels very very disappointed and let down

I purchased a £25 bag of lawn seed on Friday 18th April and planted in shady areas and in the central lawn with direct sunlight. Neither area has grown.
To make matters worse I sent the mixture label and reference number to the company last weekend asking for help. Now FIVE working days later I have yet to receive a reply. Seed must be dead, probably last years! AVOID!

First time using these delivery arrived quicker than expected. I scarified then used A1 fertiliser and seeded. The results a brilliant had neighbours asking if the grass was real.

I placed my seed order last Wednesday. After seeing some concerning reviews on Trustpilot, I called the company, feeling quite anxious and regretting my order. They assured me of a delivery (within 3 to 5 days), and I was pleasantly surprised when they delievred on the Friday, a day earlier. Honestly, the Trustpilot reviews had me so worried that I even bought backup seed from B&M. Interestingly, the A1 seed, planted two days after the B&M seed, is already showing significantly better germination. This was my first order with A1, and despite the initial anxiety caused by the online reviews, it has turned out to be a very positive experience. I wanted to share my experience to offer a more balanced perspective, as it seems the issues raised in other reviews are not universal.

I woudl urge A1 to address the negative feedback, they have a good product and in my case can clearly deliver. For the record, I have no affiliation or connection with the company other than as a first time customer.

A shame Only half of my order arrived. After numerous contacts (all very pleasant and answered quickly), the rest was not received. Possibly because of courier issues, but still not acceptable. After one month I requested a refund, which was honored and received within 1 week.

Order never arrived. Will be contacting my bank to get my money back. Don’t respond to emails, absolute joke, avoid at all costs.

AVOID at all costs. will take your money and not send the Goods! then they will not reply to emails.

My product never arrived. I chased multiple times & told there was a delay & given new delivery dates and again my product never arrived. A month later I’m now requesting a refund, will see if I ever get that otherwise I’ll have to request a chargeback from my credit card.

I ordered a soil sample kit with a view to buying the appropriate products based on the result. I’ve been waiting weeks for the result, which is a shame. I imagine over marketing has deluged them with orders and they simply can’t cope. I’ve emailed and rung customer service, who intimated that I would have the information today. Sadly I don’t. This just shows that over selling your company will lead to a downfall unless you are geared up to service the demand. I have used them before and they were good. But on this occasion I am asking for a refund. All I would say is buyer beware.

Update 09/05/25. I’ve not had a reply to my email re a refund. I’ve telephoned and spoke to customer service twice.
02/05 : I’m told I will receive a refund that day. Didn’t receive a refund that day.
09/05 : chase the refund up, I’m told someone will look into it and ring me back today. Unsurprisingly no phone call nor refund so far. Very shoddy service indeed.

Following my previous review where like many others I was able to order products that were not in stock one minute, with the courier the next, and missing the day after that and continued lies about recieving call backs, on the 11th of April I decided to cancel the order completely, more then 2 weeks after having ordered in the first place.

Sameer kindly issued my cancellation and mentioned to me a refund would be issued within 3-5 days. I write this on the 23rd April having yet again been promised a call back in the morning by Greg and recieving no call back at all.

I know many people decide to order from here from watching YouTubers and other lawn care professionals but this is by far the worst experience I have ever expeienced in my entire life.

Generally, and like many others I seldom leave bad reviews after bad experiences because I know the damage it can do to a business but honestly, l from a consumer duty perspective, I feel the need to tell people to protect themselves from this company.

If you are considering dealing with this company in anyway avoid at all costs.

I did receive my order, however, some items were missing and arrived the following day. When I went to use the items I discovered the reason they arrived later, a bag of fertiliser had been taped up by the courier and was missing a quarter of it's contents. I contacted A1 lawns about this but received no response, this is unacceptable customer service.

I placed my order with A1 Lawns on the 24th of March. It’s now been well over two weeks and I’ve still not received anything. I’ve called them six times, and every time I get told something completely different – one minute it’s on the way, the next it hasn’t even been dispatched.

They’ve promised me delivery multiple times now, but I’m still waiting with absolutely nothing to show for it. No tracking info, no updates unless I ring them myself, and definitely no sense of urgency from their side.

Honestly, I’ve never experienced such poor communication and service. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone – incredibly disappointing.

Placed an order on 28/3/2025 and have had no update as to dispatch or tracking of order! Phoned customer service to be told it was dispatched the same day I ordered it! Was promised it would be re sent Monday but still nothing!

Have been let down badly by this company..I work as a garden contractor so ordered some of there premiership pro seed needed this as it was a rye grass mix specified by my client it did not say it was out of stock when I placed the order on their website however when the seed arrived it was quite plainly to me it was the wrong seed.. what they sent me was a rye/ fescue mix so I emailed both A1 and their sister company pro green where it came from .. it was over the weekend so was not expecting a reply til Monday however as the seed was needed for the following Wednesday I rang progreen on Monday morning the guy on the phone was polite and helpful and explained that it must have been a miss pick and then went on to say it was out of stock 🤷‍♂️ but would definitely be in that week and it would be fine to rebook my work in for the following Wednesday ..he said I get a call to arrange to swap the seed over now this is where these company’s let themselves down and have no need to receive poor reviews I have recieved no phone call and no seed and now have to explain to my customer he’s job won’t be completed this week.. well actually it will as I have ordered and recieved seed from another company that does there job right A1 and pro green you are not doing yourselves any favours good communication is so important and easy to do yet look at your poor reviews don’t send me the same reply as you do to all your poor reviews as it is nonsense I won’t be useing your company again

Place order on 19th March. No parcel sent, no customer services, no response at all.
