Avoid at all costs
Very poorly organised, turned up on the day 45 minutes before as suggested by the booking confirmation which was a complete waste of time. On the day it was pissing it down with rain, all the staff were stood under marquees but one wasn’t provided for the customers. Waited the full 45 minutes until my scheduled time and a further 45 minutes after that, my name still hadn’t be called. Soaked by then we just left... What a waste of time driving 1 and a half hours for something I was looking forward to.
Elvington Track - Good Experience ruined by Poor Service and bad Instructor

The experience itself is great. However, it really comes down to your instructors on the day.
My first two instructors were great. Gave good advice and instructions on driving. Then my final drive was the Lamborghini the car I was most excited to drive. Unfortunately the instructor had a really poor attitude from the start, speaks down to you and was really quite rude. Two of my other friends also had the same experiences with this instructor so it can really spoil what would be a good day.
Regarding the damage waiver for £25 + £5 per car. There is really little reason to buy it, I would question to amount of cover it actually provides opposed to not having it. When I asked the staff they were unable to give me a clear answer. They did say even if someone else hits you, you are still liable - So they were very unhelpful and quite uninformed.
Absolutely disgusting service avoid
Absolutely disgusting costumer service very rude and would never recommend to anybody, my son had a junior supercar experience for his birthday when we arrived they bombarded us with lots of other costs we were unaware of when originally booked then paid £35 for the memory stick and was told it would have the full footage of him driving and the video of the hot lap then paid a additional £25 for the photos to be put on stick, to get home and find video of him driving was only half the drive and the footage of hot lap didnt even have my son on it showed there driver only.so in total spent £60 for a 1 minute video and 5 photos, then after nearly 4 weeks of emails and phone calls still nothing apart from the lady called Sophie in customer service laughing at us saying nobody said they would get back to us and they can only refund £5 and that's still not even been refunded!!!
DO NOT USE THEM THEY RIP PEOPLE OFF

Excellent experience . Very well organised and during a pandemic too . You need to be a real car enthusiast . My fiancé absolutely loved every single moment of his experience . He chose the 3 supercar experience at 189.00 pounds and cant wait to go back . Thank you for making his 50th birthday the best ever !
Disappointed.....
My son had his driving experience today at the three sisters circuit. As per your instructions, most of my sons family who wanted to attend to watch, didn’t as per your guidelines to only be accompanied by one person. When my husband and son got there, they saw that everybody else had numerous guests with them, including full families. This seems very unfair that we have now missed his driving experience that we bought him for Christmas by adhering to your rules yet everybody else had numerous people watching. My husband also said that most people were not wearing masks either. My last issue was that they were asked if they wanted to purchase a video for £35 which they agreed to, when they came to pay for it, ending up paying double this as they had not been told it was £35 per car. Altogether, he enjoyed the experience but we feel totally unhappy that most of us missed watching him yet others were let in to watch and didn’t follow your guidelines, if you send out guidelines then you should stick to them to make this fair on people that actually adhere to them. This experience cost us a lot of money plus the extras that we were mis sold. Very disappointed.

my 10-year-old daughter came here today, we bought video and pictures and she had the best time ever. she is 1 happy 10 year old and had smile on her face all day... we will def be doing it again

My son recently visited three sisters for a junior driving experience, he had to go at this time of year due to lack of available dates.
After arriving we were told there was a big risk of accidents and we must pay £25 for insurance or risk a £5000 excess, I paid this as we were under the impression it would be a thrilling driving experience, how wrong could we have been.
After walking back and forth in the rain for 10 minutes someone finally came over and said yep you are in that car soon.
When it came to driving the car, my son didn’t go above 5mph and every time he came to a straight, not that there was any within the tiny “track/car park” the woman instructor braked for him and made him wait for other cars. It was a complete waste of money.
Then onto the quick lap which lasted around 30 seconds.
We then went on to view the pictures, only to be told the photographer had put the wrong time stamp on it so there was only a couple of pictures, neither recognisable.
Overall the experience was tragic and it cost me the purchase price, then another £25.00, 3 hours travel and a morning off work all to be completely disappointed and a complete waste of time and money.
After complaining there has been absolutely no response.
Expensive phone booking line!
The driving day was fantastic but on reviewing my phone bill was less impressed. I made an 8 minute phone call from my mobile to 6thgear to book the day which cost me over £5!. Sort it out your premium rate number especially if you are going to keep people on hold!

excited to be there, but seriously let down by the video experience
Great atmosphere and customer care and staffing on the day at the venue last Saturday. My 14 year old was so excited to drive a Lamborghini and to spend a moment in the Atom.
We were treated well and promptly and the whole place ran well with clear understanding by all the team members and staff, who appeared to care and be engaged despite the very many people there.
This is where the enjoyment ends - our recordings of the day were dreadful from the onboard camera and track circuit on the Atom.
Even with the software supplied by 6th gear it was appalling quality with distorted sound - focus on a dirt spot on the windscreen and 30 seconds of a track in brilliant purple.
When we complained to Sophie at the experience, we were told 5-7 days to come back to you with a response, and effectively being told go away nothing we can do.
Save your money don't buy the videos they are not worth it and do not reflect the promotional material or in any way in our case represent what was offered.
We have had to escalate our case to our credit card company and will Pursue 6th gear as they devastated my 14 year old and the trust has gone - shame on you for your lack of after sales behaviour and pleas take some responsibility. Word of
Mouth is important.
DID NOT LIVE UP TO MY EXPECTATION
My wife booked an Aston Martin DBS drive package as a birthday present.
As a mature driver this was a one-off experience that I was very much looking forward too.
Though the initial meet and greet process to register appeared to be well organised, there was, what can only be described as, a hap-hazard list ticking process at the track side.
The drive experienced started with being bundled into a rear seat of a two door car for a demo lap around the track. This was executed in a manner best described as being herded through a necessary process, without any regard to the individual as a fee paying customer. The process demonstrated a total lack of customer care and service.
Some what before my booked time, my name was bellowed out, ( a little unprofessional ) whereby I was directed to a parked Aston Martin DBS. The driving instructor who was sat in the passenger seat was most helpful and very friendly.
The Castle Combe track is not a very long track, affording limited areas of straight runs, but that said, does provide sufficient track scope to enjoy the thrill of a performance car. Bearing in mind that you are driving a strange car on a unknown course. Unfortunately 6th Gear Experience placed very small cones on the track to create what they call chicanes but all this does is slow you down and substantially inhibit the speed thrill that was anticipated.
At the end of my “driving experience”, the opportunity to drive a Aston Martin DBS was very enjoyable, but the whole package was somewhat disappointing. It was very impersonal, with a distinctive lack of customer service, and the whole process felt very rushed.
Should I be given the opportunity to drive a performance motor car again, or be asked to recommend, I would consider looking for an alternative location and package.
Lambo experience
I bought the ultimate Lamborghini experience for my son for his 21st birthday, I had heard mixed reviews about this type of experience from friends. I need not have worried as these guys are very professional and everyone was friendly and very helpful and made the day special. The only problem I have is getting the grin off my son's face, I would definitely use them again.
Bedst experience ever.....
We just got home with the best experience ever and we thank 6thgearexperience.com and trackdays.co.uk it was seriously a dream day come true but could easily have spent more time in the cars and on the track.
Thanks alot for making it possible to experience such a wild thing.
