No service to be expected, but settled after some weeks!

When you have a complain about your product and send an email towards 66North, nothing is happening afterwards. No reply on several emails, nobody is picking up the phone (tried more than 10 times during normal office hours). And it is all about a jacket which isn't waterproof at all, you get soaked wet in it.
Comparing to the price of their gear you would expect a proper service. But it is totally crap....

As the days have past 66North has in the meanwhile been in contact with me and offerd a satisfied solution for me.

INFINITE DISAPPOINTMENT

After they sent me the wrong product and I tried for a week to get in touch with their customer service, I went to a physical store (Faxafen in Iceland). I spoke to the manager there, who was kind but also did not do anything as she herself could not get a hold of the customer service team. She promised me to help and took down my contact information, and yet I still have not received any message. At this point I just want my money back. It is absolutely ridiculous that this is how they are considering how pricey the products are.

Disappointing service

It’s been a week with no reply to my request. For the price I paid, the „service“ has been very disappointing.

Don't order there

Don't order there. Customer service doesn't react on valid comments regarding the sizing of products. The ignore it and answer to questions that you didn't ask. They don't take over shipping cost for their wrong sizing. Years ago I did a couple of time a very good experience but that changed.

They promise that you will be fully satisfied but they don't act like that!

Addendum: After the reply of 66 North I contacted the support again to solve it. That was five days ago. But again no reply! Request number is xxxxx, if the person that is answering here wants to get in touch.

Addendum 2: Even after another week no further response from 66 North. And they ask me to come back to them. Not understandable.

Absolutely terrible!

I ordered a parka coat for my upcoming winter holiday. It was delivered fairly quickly (I see I was lucky with this after reading other reviews) and was very good quality, but it didn’t fit. I’d been through the websites fitting guide, putting in all my details etc but it was too tight.
I wanted to exchange it, but read on their returns page that it wasn’t an option with online purchases unless I ‘dropped into their shop’ in London. I live in South Wales.
I immediately emailed customer service for a return label and waited.
NB They have since changed the return process and made it an online request on their website. I don’t know if this will make any difference to future unfortunate customers.
Over the next week I emailed again as I hadn’t heard anything apart from the usual acknowledgement email, messaged their Facebook page and tried to phone. No answers to any of these!
The following week I started to panic as the coat was very pricey and I couldn’t afford to lose the right to return it.
I travelled to London (200 miles, the cost of travel obliterated the saving I’d made buying online and then some) went into the shop and exchanged the coat for the correct size with no trouble at all! I need to mention that the staff in the shop were absolutely brilliant and are the reason that I have awarded 2 stars instead of 1. If you want to buy anything from this company, go to the shop!
Amazingly enough, before I got home that day I received a reply from my first email apologising for the delay and including a return label, and an email asking for feedback! Only took them 2 weeks!
I’m sure this timely reply had nothing to do with my order number being entered into the till for the exchange at the shop. I won’t be replying to that email, but I did give them the requested feedback which somewhat satisfied my rage.
UPDATE: thank you to customer services for the reply and the apology. I’m very pleased that you’re beginning to correct the returns process, I’m sure you’ll get some rave reviews if that particular bit is easier as, like I said, the quality of your clothing is excellent.

Slechte kwaliteit…

Ik kocht een jacket tijdens de winterperiode in afslag.
Blauwe kleur, mooi model met kap en goed ogend.
Na letterlijk één keer dragen waren er pluchen op de mouwen en voorkant van het kledingstuk.
Ik heb onmiddelijk een email gestuurd met foto's die duidelijk het probleem visualiseer den.
Er zou een onderzoek plaats vinden. Noppes. Na wat op en af schrijven antwoord 66North uiteindelijk niet meer.
Toegeven dat het kledingstuk van erbarmelijke kwaliteit is doen ze niet.
Werd trouwens ook niet in IJsland geproduceerd, waar ze zo graag mee uitpakken. Wel in een land met lage loonkosten.
Ik ben zeker niet tevreden. Vooral omdat de vlag de lading niet dekt.
Produceren niet ( alles) in IJsland en geven niet thuis als er zich een kwalitatief probleem voordoet.

Strap ripped in 3 months

I bought a 66 North backpack in April this year, and the right strap ripped completely a few days ago ( 4 months later) . While I appreciate the design and lightness, which was the reason I bought it, this type of damage is unacceptable for a backpack in that price range. I only used it for daily city activities, carrying a laptop, personal items, and occasional groceries.

Jeg blev vild med deres produkter da…

Jeg blev vild med deres produkter da jeg så dem første gang på Island og synes der var en god og høflig service der.
Men butikken i København er virkelig noget andet. De fremstår uhøflige og nedladende!
Jeg ville købe to Tindur veste, men synes S var lidt for stor og spørg så om der er xs. De svare at den ikke fåes i xs. Jeg vælger derfor at købe begge i s. I alt 3100,-
Jeg kigger på deres webshop og ser så samtidig at man godt kan få vesten i xs. Jeg bestiller derfor online og vil returnere dem jeg har købt i København.
MEN DET KAN MAN IKKE! Man kan få et tilgodebevis. Jeg elsker faktisk deres produkt og design men vil ikke handle hos dem igen pga deres opførsel, dårlig service og den manglende mulighed for at få pengene retur. Lige meget hvad så er det menneskeligt at fortryde af den ene eller anden årsag også er man bare “fanget” hos dem. De må de virkelig lave om.

Please never shop here

Please never shop here. I ordered two items, one of them I received, the other one I never got. However, they charged me for both items. Now here I am, 9 days after ordering, sent multiple mails, called multiple times and still no answer, no refund and no other half of my order.

Right now they’ve ripped me for over 120€ which I assume is just gone. Their customer service for sure doesn’t answer.

I’ve grown up in Iceland and I’ve always loved the brand. But right now I’m just sitting with a feeling of being unjustly treated and ripped for money. I’m not going to be returning to 66* north ever again.

No Refund, No Response – Poor Service from an Overpriced Brand

I returned an item (Order EU‑2025‑00119136) long ago. Tracking shows it arrived at 66°North’s facility in Reykjavík. I even paid extra to ensure it went directly there — not rerouted to one of their random European warehouses.

Ironically, although I placed one single order, the items were shipped from two separate locations — Iceland and Latvia — without any prior notice. Talk about a disjointed logistics system. And yes, Latvia, where cheap labor and outsourced production likely help pad their margins, while the brand continues to parade itself as “authentic Icelandic heritage.”

I’ve received zero communication, despite multiple follow-up emails. The customer service feels cold, vague, and borderline lost-in-translation narcissistic.

Wouldn’t recommend.

Be patient

My suggestion would be: be patient. My online shopping experience has been extremely frustrating. But turn out well eventually. Customer service is terrible. I’ve sent multiple emails with no response at all. I even tried calling their customer service at +354 535 6600, but no one ever answers the phone.

I bought the Þórsmörk online for my…

I bought the Þórsmörk online for my wife which was XS as she is 5.1 feet. Even though the coat was warm and looked nice on her the arm length was too long for her. It had an arm strap in the end but it just looked ridiculous. I suggest that they revise the arm length for shorter people. We wanted to exchange the coat for a different one so we returned it to the store. Unfortunately, the return service is a little outdated as they give you a piece of return paper at the store to get your refund and is not immediate. I am giving 4 stars because the products themselves are very good.

They won't give my money back

The women's clothing is ill fitting and sized extremely small. I wear a small to medium in every brand I've ever bought clothes from but in 66° North I have to buy a large or extra large.

Their customer service is dreadful and has got worse. It always takes a long time to get a refund from them but this time I don't know if I am ever going to get my money back.

I returned 2 items to the London store neither of which fitted and 6 weeks later I have not had a refund. They owe me hundreds back. I will never buy from them again. It isn't worth it.
