Charged US$3,250 after we told them not to proceed — now ignoring us
Our experience with 50Pros has been completely unacceptable.
In April 2025, Our agency paid US$250 to register its interest in 50Pros’ invite-only directory. After we were accepted, 50Pros attempted to take a further US$3,000. That payment was declined. We then emailed 50Pros and made it clear that we did not want to proceed or be included at that point.
There was no further communication for almost a year.
We subsequently discovered that 50Pros had taken US$3,000 from our card in March 2026. We received no advance warning, no invoice before the charge and no receipt afterwards. We had not approved any further payment.
50Pros also created an account and profile and populated it with content taken from other directories without our consent.
We have challenged the payment, asked for the account and profile to be closed, and repeatedly tried to obtain a proper resolution. 50Pros is now ignoring us.
This is not how a credible business should treat prospective customers. Taking a substantial payment nearly a year after being told not to proceed, without warning or supporting paperwork, and then failing to deal properly with the complaint is indefensible.
I would strongly advise other businesses to exercise extreme caution before providing 50Pros with card details. We have had to escalate the matter through our credit card provider.
I will update this review if 50Pros resolves the dispute and closes our account and profile.
