The best way to experience a race abroad, hands down.
I’d been wanting to run a marathon in Europe for years but always found the logistics overwhelming. Race entry, hotels, transfers, training plans… it adds up fast and the stress kills the excitement. 42ostriches completely changed that.
From the moment I booked, everything was taken care of. The package included guaranteed race entry, accommodation, airport transfers, a pre-race dinner, a warm-up session with a certified running coach, a personalised training plan, physio consultation, finish line photos, and celebration drinks after. I genuinely didn’t have to think about a single thing except actually showing up and running.
But honestly, the best part wasn’t the logistics. It was the people. I came solo and left with friends I’m already planning the next race with. The team clearly put a lot of thought into building a real community, not just selling travel packages. The WhatsApp group before the trip, the group sightseeing, the shared hotel. It all made the experience feel so much bigger than just a race.
The team behind 42ostriches are passionate, responsive, and clearly do this because they genuinely love it. It shows in every detail. If you’re an amateur runner looking to push yourself somewhere new without the headache of planning it all yourself, just book it. You won’t regret it.

The combination of a completing a race and meeting new people in a social environment is what I really really loved about my experience. The owners are so personable and great at organising a trip, everything was seamless.

I went on two ski trips with…
I went on two ski trips with 42ostriches now, both weeks went amazingly and very smoothly. Best ski weeks of my life so far. Would fully recommend them. Soma and Gergo were very helpful and dedicated to make our stay enjoyable and fun. Excellent service ovarall.

I love running and I never did a half marathon abroad! I loved the trip around it the organisers made it special. It was well thought and really worth it!
