Ordered 6-7 weeks ago and its stuck on genotyping ?
Progress is so slow. My daughters was done within about 2-3 weeks ? My wife’s the same. A few things in my daughters seem amiss, but some spot on with what we know. My wife’s showed all one area that conflicted with our daughters on the female side ? I found another UK based company to be far more accurate do we do future tests with them and avoid 23 and Me.

I ordered a kit but then realised I may not be able to budget for it this month. Requested a refund and it came back really quickly so that's a positive. The reviews here have made me feel a bit nervous - will definitely need to do more research before I re-order.

Sent sample off a month ago and haven't had results back. Absolutely ridiculous and a waste of money

Avoid as terrible service
Happy to take your money but no delivery of kit as yet. No human can be contacted as hidden behind unhelpful “Help Centre”
I will be seeking a refund

I purchased a gift dna service for my mother.She sent in the sample and results have never been posted. Between 2017 and 2021 I have contacted them several times. They won't try to find the sample, send a new sample collection kit or refund my money.They think it's ok to take roughly 200 dollars and provide nothing for it.

I accidentally ordered two kits so I asked for a refund a day after ordering and even though the kit was shipped they refunded straight away. I was a bit reluctant when reading bad reviews on here but the whole process was very smooth. I will post another review after receiving the DNA results.

They give you false promises of giving you accurate and interesting results when in actual fact they copy and paste your ‘results’ from other people who are of similar types. Save your money I paid £73 and none of my results were even close to accurate! They couldn’t even pick up my French heritage considering my mother and grandfather are French! They offer no refunds either! SCAM!!

My initial experience with 23andme was very positive. However, I then started clicking through the results and my heritage changed! It changed with quite a lot - a percentage change of 35.7% in my ancestry composition! I took photos and emailed 23andme. My question was simple: which of the two analyses presented to me by 23andme is correct? I tried many times to get an answer from 23andme, but their customer care department never answered this question. It might be that their app and website development are buggy, or it might be that the underlying data is corrupt. Whilst this is a very disappointing customer experience, still more concerning is that they want to give health advice based on your genetic sequence. If the data changes or the analyses and reports are linked to two different samples, how can anyone be sure they are getting the right medical advice or even the medical advice linked to their DNA?

Don't buy from this company - they take your money and never speak to you again. Shocking customer service.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Go with Ancestry.com NOT this company. Pack not arrived, no response to emails, live chat actions by agent not followed up on. Abysmal service. I only wish I read reviews first as it appears I’m not the only one. AVOID!!!

They apparently sell fiction. Seemed ok with first results, then each time I logged on, they came up with a different ancestry for me. When I queried this with customer care, they came up with this beauty: '-Your results phase against your genotyped parent's results
-We update our reference populations. Our most recent population update was released to all customers in October 2019.
-We update the Ancestry Composition algorithm.' Please note the singular 'parent's; totally inappropriate since both my parents died before 23andme came into being & never had genetic testing. The 'recent population update' has my ancestry zooming across the globe each time I log on, on the last occasion with added traits that point to someone else's DNA. (NB - not additional ancestry, just substitutions for previous reports). They've additionally added a link to another customer but their customer care is refusing to look at this on the grounds of 'privacy', even though I have requested them to look at what this person's doing linked to what's supposed to be my private reports. I attached a screenshot of this link. I got this back: 'We are not able to view your results for privacy reasons and we are not able to view the documents you are attaching. If you would like to send a screenshot, please just attach the screenshot to your message.' So, in other words, they can peddle any interpretation of your results they like and add random links to other customers but hermetically seal this from their (and your) control. Appalling service, apparently totally unregulated.

Ordered a kit for my dad for Father’s Day. I ordered it 3 weeks in advance and it still didn’t arrive on time. It’s now the 01st of July and no delivery. 4 weeks is ridiculous. Avoid this company, especially if it’s a gift and you need confidence in delivery

I don’t know how any bad reviews could get through about this company. They were stellar from start to finish. They put a ton of care and effort into their reports. The information learned and shared was fun and interesting. The service was prompt and they kept me up to date throughout the entire process. I absolutely recommend them and hope more people will join and add to their data base. Each person who joins adds a ton of data that enriches the reports for everyone else. So join up and get your mind blown. :)
