About 200 Degrees
Some time, many years ago, two bar owners wanted to serve the best possible cup of coffee to their customers. Thus began a search, that started a journey, which became an obsession, and lead to three men being alone in the corner of a garage (with a coffee roaster) until finally, in 2012, they created 200 Degrees Coffee and decided to show it to the world, starting with Nottingham.
Like lots of people, we are passionate about coffee and whilst we're sure there are more important things in life, we just can't think of any.
We spend all day roasting, making, drinking and talking about ‘coffee coffee coffee coffee’ but we also understand that the perfect cup of coffee is not just about taste or even about what’s in the cup, it’s about doing everything the right way.

We aim to be a company with high standards in everything we do and that applies to our coffee, our shops, our service and the way we treat people, including our suppliers.

Best coffee company ever!!!
I don't know when to start, lets bullet point them: 1. Customer service and advice over phone is 12/10. On my process looking for the coffee machine, after contacted few companies, I know 100% I'll be buying from 200 Degrees. One call and I had all information, details from technical side. All done with a bit of humour, laugh, but fully professional. Great job. 2. Email contact - the same 12/10 - quick response, you cannot do that better, thanks. 3. Coffee shop in Leeds - fantastic staff, friendly helpful etc. - great place for great coffee. As summary highly recommend using them for anything: buying coffee, equipment or just to drink coffee!!! Well done guys, I cannot wait to have my new Lelit Anna machine and try your coffee on her.

Disgusting
Went into this coffe shop in Birmingham, ordered off the app and our drinks arrived in paper cups even though we ordered to sit in, my tea was undrinkable, it had way too much milk for my liking i was expecting a pot and to add my own milk as we were sat in. The whole paper cup of tea was left. Thwre was no explanation of why our drinks were in a paper cup either. Very poor service and absolutely disgusting tea !!! This has put me off entering this chain of coffee shops again!.

200 Degree Coffee is my Number 1 choice
I have always preferred 200 Degrees Coffee when out and about in Nottingham, they have a great vibe and a delicious product. My wife loves their hot chocolate as well which helps.
My review this time is about their mail order business, they have a great simple subscription system that I use. If I am running low I can pull forward my next delivery and it will be with me within 2 days. I can also push it out if I have been away and have lots left in stock. What a brilliant system.
This week there was an error on the delivery which was in my favour, I let them know and they refused to charge me for the extra product and thanked me for letting them know. That is smart customer service because I am here now writing a positive review for them.

I'd like to thank all the baristas, especially one of them named Elena that always makes sure to provide brill and accurate service to customers. She's a lovely lady who's got it going on and ready to lighten up your day. By and large, the snuggly, ambient and welcoming atmosphere as well as the vibrant vibes go to show the right path the coffee shop is on. Keep up the good work folks!

Great coffee shop but the tea is really awful
I have started going to the new shop which has opened near Tewkesbury.There is so much that is right with the shop.The shop itself has a lovely atmosphere and the staff great and the coffee is really the best I have found and they bring it over to you which is a real plus!………but there is a problem I am afraid…the tea….oh dear oh dear!…it was the worst tea I have ever tasted,it was truly awful and this leads me with a problem cos I always start off with a nice pot of tea and then move on to coffee….. oh so many problems!

Unfortunately I was asked to leave the premises because I was eating food that wasn't purchased from 200 Degrees Leicester.
I would understand this decision if I didn't purchase anything from the premises but in front of me was a coffee I had just bought, clearly showing it was a 200 degree coffee purchase.
I wouldn't normally review a company about this but as a regular who really enjoys the experience at the Leicester branch, I feel this would go against what you believe in customer service wise and it shouldn't matter if I have other food items (it could've been for dietary reasons). I wasn't even asked why I had the food in there either which is a shame.
I regularly tell people the service at the Leicester branch is incredible but this experience has made me not want to go back which is a real shame.

Coffee bean delight
Having bean with them (get it...) a number of years I get weekly coffee deliveries and the coffee taste amazing. I've tried a few varieties but I always come back to Brazilian Love Affair and when I do go into the shops I often pick up some Victoria Sponge.
As well as great coffee the customer service is amazing. I can always speak to someone within a few rings, they are always super helpful and if they can't solve your problem then and there, they call you later when it's resolved. Over the last 4ish years I haven't had many issues just the occasional lost delivery usually due to the courier or if I need to get a delivery sooner but it's great to know you can just ring up and sort it.

I love 200 Degrees Coffee
I love 200 Degrees - they have fantastic cafes and also roast their coffee beans at their site in Nottingham. As a keen home barista I also have a weekly delivery of freshly roasted coffee beans. And I must say that their pricing is really competitive too.

Faulty beans caused £700 damage – slow, unhelpful response
I purchased a 1kg bag of beans from 200 Degrees Coffee’s McArthur Glen Nottingham store on 30 June 2024. The bag contained a large stone, which broke my £700 Sage coffee machine instantly.
I reported this straight away, sent photos and videos, and explained the extent of the damage. Instead of a quick resolution, I spent weeks going back and forth, including being sent YouTube videos to try fixing it myself. Only after all that did they offer to collect it for repair — without confirming if it would be done by a Sage-authorised technician — meaning even more time without a machine I’ve already been without for over a month.
Now, weeks later, my emails are being ignored and I’m left with a broken coffee machine and no resolution. I’ve had to buy coffee elsewhere daily, and the process has been slow, frustrating, and unprofessional.

Thank you for replying, but your summary leaves out key facts that would give a clearer picture to anyone reading.
I provided detailed descriptions and photos of the damage from the start, yet the wrong part was sent despite this. The part was not where the main damage was, and fitting it required technical knowledge I do not have. I also made clear in calls and emails that the machine was completely unusable from day one due to a large rock damaging the burrs, blades, and internal mechanisms.
Rather than promptly arranging a repair, I was asked to send videos, try self-fitting parts, and go through weeks of delays — I have now been without my £700 machine for over a month. The £50 voucher offered doesn’t come close to covering the cost of buying coffee out daily during this time, and your stores are not local to me. You also promised a gift box as a goodwill gesture, which was never sent.
You have still not confirmed whether the repair would be carried out by a Sage-authorised technician, which is essential for a machine of this value. This has been a frustrating experience with poor communication and a lack of urgency in resolving the issue.

Great atmosphere…drinks could be hotter
I love the vibe of the cafes and the decor and the staff are always friendly and welcoming…..I genuinely wish the drinks were hotter….I usually have hot chocolate when I visit and they are nice but barely warm…this has happened in different stores so it isn’t just one particular cafe. That is my only criticism.

200 degrees works for me!
My 4 weekly coffee delivery arrives in time regularly. The Brazilian Love Affair coffee beans work well with my espresso machine to provide a robust flavourful espresso with a good crema.
I like the, not too serious website and communications. I’m no coffee expert but 200 degrees works for me.

Cannot compliment enough
We visited 200 degrees coffee shop at the junction 32 retail park in Castleford around lunchtime on the 30th July. I can’t compliment the cafe enough. The service was very friendly and made us so welcome. We placed our order and they bring it to you without having to stand and wait. The seats are very comfortable and the food and range is excellent at a very competitive price. The tea is served the traditional way with tea leaves to give the full flavour. Even Adie the manager had time to talk to my wife as my wife is a very chatty lady. We will definitely make 200 degrees coffee shop our regular stop when visiting. Wish more coffee shops were like this.

Went to the coffee shop in the Cotswolds
Went to the coffee shop in the Cotswold designer outlet in Tewkesbury, we went quite late in the day when it was quieter, all the staff were at the till chatting when we entered ordered a few drinks to take out , this took over 10 min, all six members of staff not making drinks and just chatting. Felt like this was a long wait for 2 very basic drinks.
