Easy to upload photographs and description. Impressive number of views (611) but no enquiries (since 20/06/2025).
Most important, the website is not plagued by scammers. Not sure why this is the case but we have had bad experiences with competitors Immoweb (every enquiry [3] a scam) and Green-Acres (1 out of 3 enquiries a scam)!
So 5 stars.

Want to buy a property abroad? Look no further than 1st for French Property. Not only that they have been very helpful and knowledgeable, but also answered to any queries I had whilst doing my house hunting. A definitely plus, they have English speakers, which also enables smooth communication. I fully recommend them!

The team in charge of finding your new home in France is very reactive and helpful. They are there for you and do their best to answer your questions. It is important to know they have a questionaire that you can use and modify to specify your needs and requests, and they will do everything possible to accommodate them.

Good company with good communication and very supportive

1st for French were very helpful in putting me in touch with various agents in the areas that I was searching for a house. They made sure that the communication lines were established and followed up to see if the contacts had been useful. The agents were very polite and helpful and tried their best to find a house that was suitable for my needs. I wouldn't hesitate to use 1st for French again, thank you.

We found 1st for French Property by an internet search in the middle of Covid travel restrictions. The website was easy to use and let us see a huge range of properties in France, discovering what was available at our price range, considering different parts of France and then honing down to what we thought were our 8-10 boxes we were looking for. We’ve had property in France before and getting an idea of the context of a new property in an area we didn’t really know well would have meant quite a few trips and spending quite a lot of money. We discussed things with grown up children who were able to look at the website and give feedback about their views and their priorities. Eventually we emailed 1st for French Property on a weekend and were very impressed that a nice, helpful lady rang us back within an hour and guided us through some next steps. A few weeks later as travel restrictions eased we made our visit and were taken round the property we’d put at the top of our list by the local English speaking estate agent. We liked it so much we put in a bid. Now we’re looking at websites for inexpensive French furniture.

Really slow to respond and lacking any kind of professionalism. There are other, much better agents, to use.

And look at the cheek and arrogance of their response choosing to demean my review of them by suggesting that I only ever leave one star reviews. That attitude and approach from them, tells you all that you need to know about these guys. You’ll get a much better service from Leggits. In the meantime, these guys can bask in their 5 star reviews with plenty of 1 stars to be found in their reviews, should they choose to look and understand that all feedback, not just the good ones, is invaluable.

Very helpful and kind I felt guilty finding the right property on leggetts site. The site is well set up with great links wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anybody. Cheers Paul

1st for French Property is an amazing Company, with people who fully understand your needs, how to help you, and how to buy the house of your dreams. I felt like a little fish in an ocean scouring French Property websites that were not that helpful and uninformative. Then I came across 1st for French Property. They had homes for sale that were not on other websites and at reasonable prices. Louisa was amazing. She immediately put me in touch with an Estate Agent (A Demi-God in the Estate Agent World!) and 2 months later, I am closing the deal on a beautiful property. No question I asked was ever silly or irrelevant. Louisa answered them all and swiftly!

I have spent months trying to communicate with these people all I get is standard replies or messages telling me they cannot assist me. The overall response I get is very negative. So I give up it's obvious they don't want my business, I will go somewhere more helpful.
