After sales service is diabolical 6 weeks after our kitchen was fitted we have numerous cardboard boxes full of replacement parts with no fitter organised , emails go unanswered you have to continually chase and if you try to call hold times are excessive so we simply gave up calling
Overall great experience
Overall great experience. Initial showroom appointment was dragged out too long by a friendly but way too chatty sales person, who preferred talking over listening. This person has since left the company. Our new case handler was efficient and communication was good. After purchase we ended up not using some of our end panels, and Wren courteously refunded us for the unused part!
Great Designers, Let Down By Quartz Team.
First ever kitchen remodel and we certainly didn't make it easy on ourselves!
Old kitchen removed, wall knocked down, floors redone all before the new kitchen could be delivered and installed.
However the team at Maidstone done a fantastic job designing the kitchen, arranging the delivery so it was there at the right time and it fit perfectly.
Sounds amazing right? Unfortunately not.
Although I would recommend Wren designers, I have actively discouraged people from getting a specialist worktop due to the sheer amount of time to actually have the new worktops installed.
Kitchen was installed nearly 4 weeks ago on writing this review and we still have no worktops.
So thats no sink. No hob. No side space.
Had someone out last Friday to measure for the worktops, was advised we'd get an appointment the following day with fitting a week later...
4 days later no appointment. Emailed the quartz team and the designer, the designer finds an install date in 2 weeks (not the week originally promised) and emails back, still waiting to hear from the quartz team...
So again, I'd recommend Wren for the design side of things, but next time I think I'll use Howdens.
Very disappointing experience with Wren Kitchens
I chose Wren expecting a professional service from a well-established company. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely frustrating.
My kitchen was delivered on 17 August, but problems with the design and measurements quickly became apparent. The positions of the electrical sockets and heating pipes were recorded incorrectly, while some sockets were completely missed from the design. This caused problems with the cabinets during fitting and has resulted in additional fitting charges and material costs for me.
To make matters worse, my kitchen is still unfinished.
I have contacted Wren customer services multiple times and, on every occasion, waited 40 minutes or more just to get through. I also feel that my concerns have not been properly listened to or that sufficient responsibility has been taken for the problems.
I would advise people to think twice before buying a kitchen from Wren. If you are considering ordering, check every socket, pipe position and measurement yourself before proceeding.
I understand that issues can happen during a kitchen installation, but I expected better communication and support from a company of Wren’s size. This has been a very frustrating experience and, unfortunately, not the standard of service I expected from Wren.
Refund of install fees
After my Wren install has been cancelled last minute at the end of July and a week of phone calls back and forth and no new install date in sight, we have agreed a refund for an installation fee as I was lucky enough to find a private installer to sort my kitchen quickly. I was very clear to Wren that the time was of huge importance to me as I had no cooking facility, tap or electric in the kitchen due to a bigger project. And with the family to feed the lack of the above proved and still proving challenging. My kitchen cabinets are installed, but the cancellation of install from Wren had a knock on effect on the remaining work and things got delayed due to holidays. I had to pay my private installer however to date I have not received a refund and it has been almost 3 weeks since that agreement. After spending many hours in calls and sending multiple emails I still don't know when my money will be in my bank account. Last Friday I was told they would check with their accounts and give me a call back but no one has called as yet. So I called again today and after 1 hr an 10min wait I got to someone in supply only team to find out that I could not hear them.. so I had to disconnect and nobody gave me a call back. All I need is a refund in my bank account. Customer service is poor and looks like nobody cares that I have gone through a lot of stress, time waste on calls and emails and nobody cares that there is no sign of a refund. Also Wren quartz ream came in to measure for the worktops but due to the delays and no connected cooker and a cabinet next to it, they could not measure. So this means arranging another visit from them and more delays with completion of the kitchen, by more than a month. It is fair to say I have not had very good customer experience with Wren, and only giving 2 stars instead of 1 because of the delivery guys who were timely, polite and very careful with the cabinets.
Wow !
Wow !! I can’t believe what lovely people Wren has working for them.
Today I had a couple of phone calls from Olivia. Olivia was very clear and polite over the phone. We discussed my replacement order and arranged a delivery date at my convenience. She explained the process very clearly and followed up from our conversation with an email , which is exactly what Olivia had said she would do. I was also given the option to contact her again if I needed further assistance. The service I have received has been second to none , my next kitchen will definitely be from Wren. Fantastic service !!

UPDATE
UPDATE – I wish the story had ended there. It didn’t.
After I originally posted this review, I was contacted on 17 July by Mr Taylor from Wren Customer Service. He told me not to worry and reassured me that my problems would be resolved.
I wanted to believe him.
And, to be fair, after that call the replacement worktop was brought forward from 29 July to 22 July.
But unfortunately, that was nowhere near the end of our problems.
Our kitchen was finally completed on 26 August.
Yes — you read that correctly.
We lived without a properly functioning kitchen for two months and one week.
For a kitchen that cost us approximately £15,000.
Think about that for a moment.
For over two months, we couldn’t use our kitchen properly. We couldn’t finish the rest of our flat because everything was being held up by the unfinished kitchen. Boxes and belongings were piled up in our living room. We were spending money on Uber Eats and other food because we couldn’t cook normally.
And the financial cost was only part of it.
The stress, frustration and disruption to our lives were enormous.
Then came the final installation attempt.
The contractors sent by Wren caused even more problems.
We discovered that we had been sold one extra sheet of splashback material that we didn’t need. The measurements and planning were supposedly done by Wren, so I still don’t understand how this happened.
The glass panel behind the cooker was also the wrong size and didn’t fit.
Several cabinets were damaged during the process and had to be repaired/reworked.
And then, unbelievably, when one of the final panels was being installed, instead of using the appropriate grey silicone, we were told afterwards that white silicone had been used without even asking us.
When the panels were being installed, nails were also put through the top, damaging one of the cabinets.
The damage was so significant that I am now going to have to replace that cabinet. To do that properly, a large part of the kitchen will have to be dismantled again.
At this point, my partner had simply had enough.
After everything we had already been through, he told the installers that we did not want anyone from Wren returning to our home.
We had reached our limit.
The flooring was also damaged. We were sent flooring from different boxes, resulting in mismatched pieces, and at one point we even had a grey panel sitting in the middle of the room.
This entire process has been exhausting.
Eventually, we had to hire other people ourselves to correct some of the work. They redid the silicone, repaired the cabinets and fixed the things that should have been done correctly in the first place.
So after paying Wren approximately £15,000, we ended up paying additional money to other professionals to put right problems created during the installation.
This is not what I expected when I bought a new kitchen from a company of this size.
The most frustrating part is that Wren made the whole process look so professional at the beginning. The showroom experience was excellent. The sales process was excellent. We were made to feel that everything would be organised and taken care of.
But when things went wrong, we felt like we were left fighting one problem after another.
Two months and one week without a proper kitchen.
£15,000 spent on the kitchen.
Additional money spent on food, Uber Eats and repairs.
A renovation put on hold.
Our living room filled with boxes.
Damaged flooring.
Damaged cabinets.
Incorrectly sized materials.
Incorrect materials.
Poor finishing.
And an enormous amount of unnecessary stress.
I honestly cannot understand how a company can take this much money from a customer and leave them dealing with this level of disruption.
I know some people may have had good experiences with Wren. Perhaps we were simply extremely unlucky.
But I can only speak about our experience.
And based on what happened to us, I would never buy a kitchen from Wren again.
If you’re considering Wren Kitchens, please do your research and think very carefully about what happens after you have signed the contract and paid your money.
Because our experience taught us a very expensive lesson:
Getting the kitchen sold to you is one thing. Getting it installed properly and getting problems resolved is something completely different.
Please think twice before choosing Wren Kitchens.
you will not be compensated, and you just have to wait.
