I don't often write reviews but I wanted to shout out the customer experience delivered by Mark recently. He was friendly, professional, and took the time to clearly explain all the options available to me. The whole process was smooth and stress-free, and I felt confident I was choosing the right solution for my needs. Thank you, Mark!

Zubair followed up my enquiry and gave me all the information I needed to make an informed decision to use their service. They also gave us a great deal. On the day we arrived, the two members of staff, Deb and Sue were really helpful and informative and changed the storage we opted for, for larger storage which better suited our needs and again at a great price.

Safestore in imperial way purley was absolutely shocking.my friends unit had rat droppings everywhere and a dead RAT in her unit,there was also a water leek from the ceiling in the unit which damaged her tv,sofa,bed and mattress and to top it off there where cockroaches running from one unit to other units.when we spoke to the two staff members the guy sat there smiling and the women was actually laughing about it.i was so upset for my friend and totally shocked off the behaviour of the two staff members.we have photos evidence of the rat the cockroach and all the damage caused by the water leak.dont ever use this place to store your goods..this safestore site does not care about you or your belongings i don’t even want to give this place a 1 star they should get closed down

I had an incredible experience with Zubiar at the Croydon Safestore storage facility, where the customer service was outstanding. Safestore Croydon is the first storage place I have used where people really care about you as a person. Debra has been amazingly helpful to me over the years and that makes such a difference! The facility is clean, convenient and safe. I have never questioned having my stuff stored there, and I feel safe when I go. I thank Debra and the Safestore Croydon staff for being humans and kind, and for keeping a truly 'safe store'!

I was told on a call that their lowest price guarantee means they will match any local price. I sent them an email with the price I had been quoted and they sent an email with the price I would pay.

When I got to the store a few days later i was given a different price structure which, although on the face of it was cheaper, was infact 10% more expensive over the period that I was looking to rent a unit for. I asked for the price that I was quoted and was told that because this hadnt been locked in I couldn't get that price. Even with the email from them and from the competitor I was just given a "computer says no" response. In this instance their lowest price guarantee is not worth the paper it's written on.

I would suggest that once you get your quote when you go to store make sure you get the quote you are given as there was lots of "this is cheaper" when it definitely wasn't. Take a calculator (or your phone) with you and have a piece of paper handy to ensure you can write down all your numbers.

I wasted an hour of my time trying to get this sorted while I was there.

Upon further investigation there are much better companies close by who will give you the price you are given and have a much better signing in process.

EDIT - They then ask you to send an email to customer services but they dont respond to that.

In 2015 my partner and I signed up for a storage unit. All went well until 2021,when my partner died very suddenly. After that I have been devastated and trying to sort out issues with it as it was in my partners name not mine. Chaos is not going to be able to describe the 2 years I have been through.
Today, almost 2 years after the madness began I had a phone call from the new guy in charge. His name is Chris and he managed to sort out a problem that has been literally killing me with worry. He made 2 phone calls, and all I have to do is say if I agree with the suggestion or not. So if you are debating whether to go ahead with your storage and you want calm clear conversation, go to the branch on Imperial way, ask for Chris and sit back knowing that whatever problems arise can and will be cleared up by one of those people who are very rare these days, an employee who is good at the job and enjoys helping the customer. I have been communicating with the staff at Safestore Croydon 5 Imperial way to find out what I needed to do before I moved out and communicated with them up until I was moving out and trusted them to tell me what I needed to do. I have been in contact with them up until the day before my last day and informed them the day before that I was coming in to move the last of my few things. The following day I received a call from somebody that sounded unprofessionally frustrated called Chris who contacted me to tell me that they were going to charge me £9.02 because I did not inform the office when I moved out in which I explained that I was in contact with them and not ones did anyone mention that I had to inform the office but he proceed to say that it was in the contract in which I replied that they should have been told but if it’s in the contract that I will just pay.Then about 5 minutes later he called me to accuse me of not removing my lock and that he was not able to go into the locker when I actually did remove it because I paid for the lock so it was my lock.He kept repeating that there is a lock and sounded like he was going to start some nonsense and bill me or make it an issue. I re-iterated that it was not my lock and to check the CCTV and ended the call. I am leaving this review to say to NOT rent a storage from these greedy and scamming people and if you do to read the contract and not to trust that they will tell you anything because they will do anything and everything to scam and charge you for anything.

Despite walking through everything I had to put in the unit by the sales rep and them advising a unit that they thought would be too big - the unit was in fact too small. To upgrade to a larger size is double the price and I'm now locked into a year contract with a unit too small. Customer service is pretty rubbish and the storage facility itself doesn't seem very secure - don't use this company for storage!
