Alison was amazing and showed me all the kinds of coats as well as the socks :). The other ladies were brilliant as well. Absolutely splendid service. Top notch.

Phil was exceptionally helpful and friendly. He helped us choose the right kit and made sure it all fitted perfectly.

Excellent service today by Phil, good advice on what was required for my sahara trek. He also fit me for a 30 litre pack. Great service and great stock of different products.
There are 60 of us in total on the trek, so will highly recommend.

Phil gave me plenty of advice and time to try on various sizes. He helped me understand the quality of Berghaus and their free repair service. I left a happy customer with a Gillet and Berghaus jacket.

Fantastic service. Phil was very helpful and friendly picking the correctly sized shoe for little growing feet.

Alison helped me to make up my mind on the boot product I needed for my winter trip. She found the right size (after measuring), helped me don the boots with a footrest and advised on foot health. Very good sales episode, classic handling and resolution. Very impressed with Millets, will be returning.

Recently purchased an Osprey Rook 65l backpack and got help with the correct fitting, (something I didn’t really know even existed with a backpack) Phil was great and willing to help and pass on his knowledge and experience.
Hence now having tested and I can say…”It fits perfectly and it very comfortable” 👌🏼

Exceptional and patient customer service from Phil in serving an adult with complex needs - really made the whole shopping experience so much easier.

Phil helped my daughter and I chose the right pair of hiking boots and the right backpack for my daughters first ever DofE expedition. Phil's knowledge about the different boots, understanding of which would suit my daughters feet best, and thoroughness with fitting them meant that we left with a pair of boots that will be perfect - and my daughter doesn't want to stop wearing them! He also helped select and fit a backpack that will be perfect - not easy for a slim 13 Yr old girl! Phil shared his knowledge and expertise in a thoughtful way, he checked what our budget was, and listened to what my daughter and I each had to say. All in all a first class service - and we are very happy with the products we walked away with.

Everyone in the Eastbourne store was very friendly and helpful. Especially Tracy who helped us choose walking boots. She was very knowledgeable and took her time with us.

Phil, was very helpful and knowledgable. Took time to cover my requirements

Have visited the store before but this was the first time that anyone actively asked me if I was a member of certain outdoor groups to see if I qualified for a discount. I was purchasing items used for hiking/walking, which may have prompted this, however when I have previously purchased shoes rucksacks etc I have never been asked. Was also encouraged to let others in the organisation know. All adds up, and I like being able to actually see what I am purchasing and check it is what I want rather than trying to decided based on online site where the item never matched the photos.

Attentive and made useful suggestions. Alison didn’t try and force a sale on me.
As a result I ended up with a truly comfortable pair of Scarpa walking boots. Alison also advised Scarpa do walking shoes in the same style .

I would just like to say a huge thank you to Jason for being kind and helpful. When came in with my son to get some stuff for his school trip he really helped me and made sure he had everything he needed. Thank you so much for your help! Would highly recommend to anyone.

Went into the Eastbourne branch yesterday with my daughter to source Duke of Edinburgh Award kit - the store manager Phil couldn’t have been more helpful and professional - it makes all the difference having staff who are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about your needs, budget and requirements… and also willing to spend time on getting things absolutely right. There’s a lot of investment in buying outdoors kit and a lot of scope for it to be the wrong thing once you get out on the hills/crags etc and so this sort of help in the store is invaluable. Phil meticulously went through different boot and backpack options and carefully sized these in store to make sure they were fit for purpose before going on to help with selecting and sizing many of the other kit items. In my experience this degree of knowledgeable and thoughtful support in outdoor stores is unfortunately now few and far between, so top marks to Phil and to the other members of staff in store who were also very keen and helpful, some of whom also provided tips and advice for the DofE camp experience! All much appreciated!

As a forest school leader it is vital that I have the right footwear. I have had the same trusting trail shoes for nearly 8 years and thought it was time to replace. I was staring at a wall full of shoes and boots with some idea of what I needed/wanted. Phil (awesome guy) came over and asked if he can be of assistance, best thing I did was say yes. This man knows his shoes and his feet. We discussed what I needed and why and he was able to point me in the right direction, but his assistance didn’t stop there. He made sure they were the RIGHT shoe for my feet and purpose… before long I was trying on shoes and he was putting me through a variety of activities to ensure they were RIGHT for me. I had an idea of what I needed and believe me Phil KNEW exactly how to help me find it. He also gave some fab news that as a forest school leader I get 20% off!!! Will definitely be returning for all my FS needs. Thank you Phil!! X

Went in to the Eastbourne store on 25 Jan, where I received very good friendly but professional customer service from Phil. I needed a ruck sack for an upcoming trip & he spent time checking, advising & respectfully adjusting the bag so it fitted correctly. His product knowledge was really very good.
It’s a shame that the Eastbourne store is so dated - with all the empty units in the town it would be nice if Millets could upgrade gaining more space & decent lighting which would highlight their great staff but products as well.

I was served by a very efficient and obliging young man, Henry, whose product knowledge seemed good (although I largely knew what I wanted anyway - Brasher boots).
Price keenly competitive, no need to go online, with its attendant risks and potential complications.
Satisfactory all round.
