The service was excellent from start to finish, with clear communication every step of the way. The installers were professional, efficient, and did a great job. I would definitely recommend HRV to anyone considering improving the air quality in their home.

Great product. It did exactly what we needed. Got rid of the condensation and mould in our house. Very happy with the results!
Terrible aftermarket support
Aftermarket support is terrible, been waiting 4+weeks for any form of contact after requesting a filter change/service at least 3x times via different channels. After contacting sales person I was assured I would receive a call back that day....it's been 2 weeks....

Twice booked a filter change both times confirmed but nobody turned up and no communication from the company. Won't use again
BUYER BEWARE
We had two Lossnay systems installed in August last year based on the salesperson’s recommendation. What we specifically wanted was a system that would remove condensation and mould without making the house cold. Unfortunately, that is not what we got.
Instead, the system made our bedrooms freezing cold while doing nothing to remove the condensation. We couldn’t even keep it running because it was unbearable.
It is now May the following year and only now has an agreement finally been made to remove the units. Throughout this entire process, communication and service have been terrible. We would book technicians to come out and inspect the units, and they simply would not show up. The only time we consistently heard from the company was when they wanted payment. Each time, we explained that we were not paying until the problem was resolved.
After months of going back and forth, we were eventually told that due to changes within the company, our case had essentially been missed and there had been no proper follow-up.
In February, managers came to meet with us and apologised for the poor service. They admitted the system sold to us was not suitable for what we wanted in the first place and assured us they would “look after us” because of all the hassle and lack of support.
Apparently “looking after us” meant expecting us to pay the $4,000+ already owed for the unsuitable Lossnay system and then spend another $10,000 on a different system that would actually do the job we originally asked for. Obviously, we said no.
The only reason anything is finally being done is because we withheld payment after the system failed to perform as promised. If we had paid upfront, I honestly believe we would never have heard from them again.
Would not recommend this company. Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere. BUYER BEWARE.

Mike, the installer did a really good job of meeting my requirements on where the unit was to be placed in the ceiling cavity, answering my questions and explaining to me how the controller worked.

We had an HRV system installed and initially were very happy with the workmanship — the install was neat, tidy, and professionally done.
However, when winter arrived, our windows were still heavily covered in condensation. We contacted HRV and had a technician return multiple times. Each time we were assured it was simply a settings issue, yet the problem was never resolved.
They later installed an additional summer vent, but the following winter there was still significant condensation on the windows.
Prior to purchase, I specifically asked the sales representative whether our roof pitch was suitable and whether there would be enough heat in the ceiling cavity for the system to function effectively. I was assured that it was. It has since become clear that our roof does not have sufficient pitch or retained heat for the system to work as intended, meaning the unit was unlikely to ever perform properly in our home.
The after-sales support was extremely disappointing. A manager attended our home and, rather than constructively resolving the issue, I felt pressured to withdraw my complaint. I was asked to propose a refund amount and it was implied that because we were renovating, we “could use the money.” The interaction left me feeling very uncomfortable.
We did not ask for any compensation in the end. There was an offer of a full refund if the unit was removed; however, this would have left us with large holes in a freshly painted ceiling, creating further cost and disruption.
Overall, this was not a good experience. For the premium price paid, the system has not delivered the promised results, and the follow-up service has been poor. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this system and would instead consider alternative ventilation options

Poor experience
Poor experience. Was told during the sales cycle that the installation would not go ahead if the technician found evidence of rodent activity. Installation of positive pressure ventilation went ahead no concerns noted by the technician. First try using the system it pushed foul smelling air into the house. Insulation team confirmed 2 weeks later there was a rodent problem in the ceiling cavity. HRVs advice was to sort the rodent problem and they’ll come spray some air freshener. I can’t use the system I paid for and can’t particularly afford to have the insulation replaced right now.
Absolutely horrible service
Absolutely horrible service, booked an install and were stood up twice with no contact and then cancelled on twice.
Business going downhill since the new owner took over. Definitely look elsewhere for ac.

Great experience dealing with HRV after a parts issue caused a leak with our heat pump. The head office people were wonderful and responsive and Anil who came to make the repairs was professional, timely and went the extra mile to make sure we were kept informed every step of the way.

Never too late to install HRV
We love HRV, drier home in 8 years. Should have installed it when we built, but it's never too late. No more crying windows and mould on the frames. Set and forget, just alter the thermostat when it suits.
A great investment if you ever want to sell your home.
Go literally anywhere else
Hrv employs salesmen that push you towards their own side companies. Those companies steal your money and go into liquidation. Hrv should be ashamed they employ those salesmen. Avoid anyone with bird names.

Just love our HRV which we originally got about 2007. No more condensation. Heat from wood burners heats the house much more efficiently. Technicians that service the filters & do upgrades are really professional & friendly. Highly recommend HRV.
