We truly appreciate your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear that you’re not satisfied with your policy lapsing. I understand that this situation can be frustrating, and I’d like to offer a bit more insight into how the process works.
It is a condition of our underwriters that a new policy must be created once the existing policy has lapsed. As your previous policy was opted out of automatic renewal when the policy was taken out, this then meant it would lapse come the renewal date unless manually renewed either online, via email/live chat or our call centre team.
In respect of the price increase on a new quotation, I can see that the cover you selected on your new quote, does differ from your previous policy which will impact the policy pricing.
We genuinely appreciate your understanding, and please get in touch with us to discuss this further and we can look into the pricing for you.

Price and lack of attention
First of all my renewal came up, which I thought was a bit high so I looked online and found cover £50 cheaper, but with the same company Aviva but through a different broker. I contacted Ripe and they immediately dropped off £30 as a goodwill gesture. I have mentioned at length the benefits of loyalty from both sides, but that just got a bland response. However after being away for a few days on my return there was a letter asking if I wanted to continue, I agreed but explained why I was unhappy, next communication I got was "Sorry you have decided to leave" that was after I decided for £20 it was not worth the hassle of changing from Ripe. Although I had not had a claim or change in circumstances I decided to forget it this year but next year if they are as high as they were I will go elsewhere. The reason I have given two stars on this review is because it is obvious they do not pay attention to what customers say, when it is spelt out open and clearly, and of course for the price of renewal which was I believe out of order.

Absolute waste of time this company
Absolute waste of time this company! They send a quote confirm all the details, you attempt to pay then it's refused! I phone up to clarify and the guy on the phone has NO interest whatsoever. Absolute joke.

Disgraceful customer service.
Emailed me to tell me that you won't renew my insurance but with no reason as to why. I've got 10 years no claims on campers, 40 years without a claim on cars and 14 years on my motorbike. Shocking customer service.
