I've worked with several recruiters over the years and my experiences have been varied. Amy Graves (with support from Dave Atherton) at Oscar has been a standout. Despite the time difference between Sydney and the UK, Amy was consistently diligent in resolving the challenges that came up during an international role. I'd recommend her without hesitation.

I cannot recommend Amy from Oscar enough. She has been absolutely amazing throughout my entire job search, and I’m truly grateful for everything she did to help me.

My Hiring
The process was very smooth and professional Amy was a very good at her profession and as a person very lovely and understanding she kept me updated in all the process all the time and she always asked if I needed any help or to explain any process not clear.

I recently worked with Louis during the recruitment process for a senior position, and overall it was a very positive experience. From the beginning, he was extremely persistent — at times almost relentless — but genuinely in the best possible sense. It was clear he was highly committed to doing his job properly, keeping momentum moving, and making sure nothing slipped through the cracks.

What stood out most was how he handled difficult conversations and initial negative feedback around the role acceptance process. Rather than disappearing or taking a defensive stance, Louis remained professional, balanced, and constructive throughout. He took the feedback seriously, worked to provide additional clarity and context, and helped create credible pathways to address concerns on both sides.

For a senior-level role, that level of engagement and transparency matters a lot. Recruitment at this level is rarely straightforward, and Louis showed a good understanding of the importance of trust, communication, and long-term fit rather than simply pushing for a quick placement.

When Amy first reached out for the Cloud engineer role, I wasn't particularly interested, but she kept at it over the months and I'm glad she did. Eventually the opportunity came up around the time I was ready to move on, and I like the team and am enjoying the role. She was also a great help during onboarding, which can be a bit of a minefield, but she was always prompt and helpful, which made the process hassle free.

Amy was very nice and helpful, making sure to answer everything and explain what she knew.
She was available on WhatsApp all the time and if I had questions it was easy for me to reach her and get an answer or at least know that she would bring an answer when she knew.

Amy was great to work with. She provided comprehensive and timely advice and updates on the process and was understanding of any delays on my side.
