I grew up in Wilkes County. Been gone for over 35 years. My parents lived here the whole time. On Saturday I brought in an ‘02 Caddie needed quite a bit on work. They were covered up. They worked me in. Took 4-5 hours. In that time I heard the way they dealt with other customers. They were honest and courteous. Did a great job for me. One guy came in and wanted used tires fixed. They don’t do used tires BTW. He said he would leave a bad review, they handled it extremely well. Taught I would counteract that.

The manager there Johnny Wyatt is a very good manager very polite and gets right to work and the guys in the garage are awesome everyone there is very helpful will be returning

I had something puncture my tire on the way to town. Had to stop and replace with spare. Stopped in at the 190 Sparta Rd location and had them patch my tire with the puncture, super fast service

Picked up a nail while on vacation with family, hours from home on a Sunday, New Year’s Eve. Dave and the team got us in and out, taken care of and back on the road safely in no time. Great service, very friendly!

Husband and I were heading out to our family members funeral and noticed something wrong with the tire. We stopped by Mavis Tire and Cory looked at the tire for us and helped with the problem. He was very professional, got us in and out so we could make it to the funeral on time.

In Feb. I went in for tires on my truck. When changing the tires Mavis broke off a piece of one of my tires. After driving for 2 days I noticed a shake in the back wheels at speeds above 60. Took it back to have the balance checked. They checked and sent me out still wasn't right, had a service tech ride with me and they also noticed the vibration. Back in and they raised the truck and informed me I needed a carrier bearing. Odd since it had only been a year since replacing it. At this time they informed me of the broken tire, but immediately said it had been there a long time. Remember this is the company that will up sell everything possible. They changed the carrier bearing 2 days later i come back to pick it up. vibration is worse than ever, unable to drive truck. straight back, manager hops in to ride with me, he backs the truck out of its space and says " oh, yeah, that's not right". Turns out they had put on the wrong carrier bearing and had drilled holes in the cross member to mount it, also instead of pressing the bearing on they hammered it on. Drive shaft was bent. 3 1/2 weeks another carrier bearing, universal joint and front and back end of drive shaft later they send me out with it "fixed". Same vibration. There response was " we've done everything we can " Ended up at the local Chevrolet dealership. There report "incorrect carrier bearing, incorrect drive shaft, all parts improperly installed. Took the repair bill to Mavis 190 Sparta Rd North Wilkesboro NC. Was threatened with physical violence, told I was lying about things they had said and done, and informed they "would not pay under any circumstances" . After going up and up the chain and informing corporate that in doing the repairs for free they had already admitted fault, I finally got them to agree to partially reimburse me. Finally received the check after I had to track it down in the USPS because Mavis had required a signature. On May the 30th I deposited my reimbursement check at my bank. Fingers crossed it doesn't bounce.

These people are crooks. Took my car for a front end alignment and they told me I need shocks. Tires were wearing ok. Two other second oppoion mechanics said I didnt need shocks or anything. My car only had 70,000 miles. If you do business here you are on you own.

On March 16,2022 I took my pickup to Mavis Tire on Sparta Road in North Wilkesboro for a front end alignment. While I was there 5 other people came in with simple issues. Everyone coming that brought their vehicle in was told that there vehicle needed something else done requiring purchase of new parts and paying a labor bill of $120.00 per hr. The employee working the counter came to me a told me my truck needed parts put on the right front which would in labor alone be in excess of $200.00 then an additional $100.00 for the alignment and couldn’t never get a straight answer to the price of the part. I told the employee an manager that I was aware of what was happening. I took my truck about 15 miles farther to a garage for alignment. It was aligned for $85.00 and was told no parts needed replacement. Beware of this place very shady and sketchy.
