Nicola (the agent who handled our purchase of a flat) was professional, supportive and helpful throughout what proved to be a long-drawn out process, facilitating communication and clarity between the seller and ourselves, and providing appropriate prompts when the process needed to be nudged along.

The rating is given for my property manager Jade who is always very helpful and tries to do her best for landlord and tennant.
On the whole as a letting agent I would give JW a 3 probably as I have not always had such a good experience with other members of the team. In particular the contracts department need to improve the range and number of tradesmen on their books. The quotes provided for relatively basic work or repairs are invariably ludicrously high and so I end arranging tradesman myself which defeats the purpose of having a fully managed letting package.

Jade has been really helpful, we have had a few teething issues with our property but she has replied promptly and been very efficient. Thank you

The staff at the Heaton moor office are especially helpful and extremely friendly, I have had the pleasure of working with Jade, Sophie and Ria, whenever I need help or advice they are always available to assist, keep up the good work!!

Jade has been proactive and efficient dealing with the various issues regarding reletting the property.

Bobak our agent from JW was excellent throughout our house purchase. As first-time buyers, we really appreciated his responsiveness, professionalism and willingness to keep us informed at every stage.

Our purchase involved a number of complexities and delays outside anyone's control, but Bobak remained proactive, approachable and supportive throughout. He was always quick to respond, chased matters when required, and helped keep everything moving.

Jade had been excellent as we worked towards renovations after leakage at my property she has been there every step of the way offering me options and tailoring services to my needs. She’s been there the whole time excellent lady friendly with amazing customer service skills

As a block investor we have multiple issues which can be complicated and drawn out ,Julian Wadden are committed, pragmatic, helpfull and give excellent investor support - particularly worth a mention in the front line our account manager Mia Aspinall who has the patience of a Saint and a wise head on young shoulders

Julian Wadden manage my property and I find them to be very efficient and professional. Ria who is my contact is very helpful and always replies to my queries in a very timely manner. She is knowledgeable and has dealt with any issues to my satisfaction. The rent is collected and paid to me on time each month.

I use Jullian Wadden for all my properties. I am free to go about my everyday life not worrying about getting rent in and ensuring that I am legally compliant as it’s all taken care of. Ria Webster is my property manager and she is fantastic. Always responds to any questions and deals with any issues that may arise.

It is now managed by Ria Webster who has taken the trouble to introduce herself and has, in the few short weeks, dealt with things efficiently and professionally.

We had an extremely disappointing experience with Julian Wadden Stockport and would not recommend them based on our experience.
To begin with, we were told by Ryan that professional photographs of our property would be taken. However, he arrived and took the photos using an iPhone. In our opinion, the images were blurry, had significant glare, and did not present our home well.
During viewings, the estate agent repeatedly set off our alarm because they did not appear to know how to operate it. They also described our third bedroom to potential buyers as "the cat's bedroom," despite it simply containing a bookcase. We also felt that important information about the property and our reason for moving was not communicated clearly to prospective buyers. In our view, this did not present our home in the best possible light and may have affected buyers' perceptions.
When we accepted an offer, the buyers' proof of funds had not been fully verified. The sale later fell through, and due to poor communication from Julian Wadden, we ended up having awkward conversations directly with the buyers at our own home. Throughout this process, we asked for the property to remain on the market until proof of funds had been completed and the sale was agreed subject to contract. Despite this, the property was taken off the market. It gave us the impression that securing a quick "sale" was being prioritised over ensuring the buyers were in a position to proceed.
After the sale fell through, we were repeatedly asked to conduct viewings ourselves, even though this is one of the services the estate agents were meant to provide.
When I raised these concerns with Eilish, I found her response dismissive. Rather than acknowledging any of the issues we had experienced, she continued to argue the points by email while avoiding telephone conversations, making it increasingly difficult to resolve our concerns.
I also spoke with Liam, the branch manager, hoping the issues would be addressed. His response was simply, "What do you want us to do about it?" This left us feeling that our concerns were not being taken seriously and that there was little interest in resolving them or learning from the experience.
Overall, we found the service unprofessional, communication was poor throughout, and the experience was incredibly frustrating from start to finish. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Julian Wadden Stockport. If you're selling your home in the area, we'd highly recommend speaking to Edward Mellor instead.
