A relief!

the men were careful

the men were careful, quick and polite.Nothing was broken or otherwise damaged on unpacking. No complaints at all. We'll never move again having moved to a retirement flat but if we were to we wouldn't hesitate to use Britannia Movers. Thoroughly satisfied with our experience.

Perfect move whilst in hospital,

I unfortunately was in hospital unexpectedly for the moving days. My Daughters have nothing but praise for all Britannia staff. They were professional,friendly,
and helpful.

We have MOVED

We had a good move , weather on the hot side but the 6 men who did the work done an excellent job nothing was too much trouble put everything where we asked for it to go , I know most removal firms do a great job and we don’t move very often but if we ever move again Britannia movers will be our first choice and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone thank you regards Bob and Brenda capocci

Moving to a Churchill retirement home…

Moving to a Churchill retirement home with Brittania was a stress free and pleasurable experience. This company is really on the ball when it comes to house moves. Their communication is excellent and their procedures are slick and professional. They broke the move into 2 parts, day 1 was packing and day 2 loading and delivery. I was delighted with the result and appreciate the hard work put in by the teams of movers from Alan Cook (Packing) and Harrison & Rowley (Loading and delivery)

A seamless experience!

The experience was seamless - conveyancing can be tortuous with several in a chain but the admin and comms staff at Britannia Cestrian could not have been more flexible, patient and helpful.
Mal and Ben who oversaw our 2 day removal from the NW to the SW were excellent in quite unprecedented temperatures which involved not only considerable distances but the requirement for 2 vans since access was tight. I have no hesitation in recommending this company to future clients. Well Done.

We used Britannia Movers to relocate…

We used Britannia Movers to relocate our household belongings from the UK to the Seychelles. We were assured that our shipment would arrive within approximately eight weeks. Unfortunately, it has now been five months, and we are still without our furniture and personal belongings.

The lack of accountability and communication has been extremely disappointing. We have been left to manage without our possessions for months, which has resulted in significant additional expense and inconvenience as we've had to replace or rent essential items. Despite the substantial delay, Britannia Movers has not offered any compensation, practical assistance, or accepted responsibility for the impact this has had on us.

Moving internationally is already stressful, and we trusted Britannia Movers to deliver the service they promised. Instead, we have experienced months of uncertainty, financial loss, and frustration. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company to anyone considering an international move.

Thank you for your email. We are genuinely sorry to hear how frustrating this experience has been and appreciate the inconvenience of being without your belongings for such an extended period.
Having reviewed the file, I would like to clarify the sequence of events and explain the reasons for the delays.
Your shipment was collected on 30th January and 1st February 2026. After reviewing the packing list, our Seychelles agent advised on 5th February that several import permits were required before the shipment could be exported, including a Plant Import Permit for the wooden furniture, permits for the refrigerator and ice cream maker, an Ozone Permit where applicable, and clarification regarding the vitamins.
You promptly provided the requested information on 6th February, and on 13th February our Seychelles agent confirmed they had submitted the permit applications. As these permits were issued by the Seychelles authorities, we were reliant on both our destination agent and the relevant government departments for approval.
On 23rd March, the Seychelles authorities requested a revised packing list identifying all wooden items before issuing the Plant Import Permit. While the original information listed only a dining table and sideboard, as the process progressed further clarification identified a number of additional wooden items, including bedside units, shelving, desk components, tabletops, sofa feet and hangers.
To comply with these revised requirements, we had to locate and separate all affected items from storage, unwrap them, prepare them for fumigation, then rewrap and reload them after treatment. This involved significant additional warehouse handling, storage, labour and packing materials between February and May. Despite this, we did not charge you for any of these additional costs.
Once fumigation became necessary, we worked closely with the specialist contractor and our Seychelles agent to arrange the treatment as quickly as possible. Fumigation was confirmed on 29th April, with the earliest available appointments on 14th and 21st May, as two treatments were required.
Following completion of the fumigation, the certificate was issued and provided to the shipping line and our Seychelles agent. Only then could the container booking be authorised. The shipment was loaded on 29th May and sailed on the next available vessel on 6th June 2026.
Throughout this process, the shipment could not legally be exported until the required permits had been approved, fumigation completed and certification issued. At each stage, we progressed the shipment as soon as the necessary approvals were received.
We fully appreciate that the transit time was considerably longer than anticipated. The estimated transit time of approximately 55 days was based on a routine shipment where import approvals were obtained within normal timescales. Unfortunately, the additional import requirements imposed by the Seychelles authorities, together with the fumigation process, significantly extended the overall timeline.
We recognise the impact this has had on you and are sincerely sorry that your move did not progress as either you or we had hoped. Throughout, we worked with our overseas partners, the Seychelles authorities, the fumigation contractor and the shipping line to progress your shipment at the earliest opportunity.
With regard to your request for reimbursement of additional expenses, whilst we fully appreciate the inconvenience caused, the delays resulted from the import approval process and fumigation requirements imposed by the Seychelles authorities, matters that were outside our direct control. We are therefore unable to accept liability for the additional expenses incurred as a result of the extended transit time.
Thank you for your patience throughout what has undoubtedly been a difficult process, and please be assured that we have always acted to progress your shipment at the earliest possible opportunity.

Friendly and Efficient

They arrived on time, we took them round the house telling them what was going and what was staying and they simply got on with packing etc. We went out. When it was done, we checked the house and all was fine
At our destination they unloaded, reassembled the furniture, put it where we wanted it, emptied and removed as many boxes as they could and that was it.
They were very friendly and efficient and extremely helpful.

If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would!

Everyone I've spoken to has been absolutely brilliant. The guys on the day were great, all worked hard, put care into what they were doing and genuinly wanted to do it right. Price was cheapest from 4 quotes.

Don't bother with anyone else.

Britannia Reeves moved my mum this week…

Britannia Reeves moved my mum this week and did a brilliant job. Lee, Darren and Jason were so professional, friendly, polite, careful, hardworking and diligent. Excellence at its best

The team who moved us were utterly excellent. Marcus, Jason, and Derek were swift, cheerful, patient and careful throughout the move. They took time to listen to any concerns or questions we had and reassure us and guide us. They were brilliant too at unloading the vehicle and almost curated our living areas! The way they positioned the furniture- some items we have not moved as they'd spotted the best place to leave things! They were orderly and sequenced in their approach which added to the seamless move.

Avoid this company at all cost

Avoid this company at all cost. Staff are lazy. Manager not very accomodating. I have move all my stuff from New Zealand to England and using this company paid a lot of money for packing and unpacking all stuff. Before the day of the delivery driver called me to deliver on that evening 8 told them no as they have a very massive lorry and a lot of houses with their cars around. They still asked me if i wanted them unpacked it i told them yes. In the morning after delivering it they look very reluctant to unpacked the boxes. I just asked them to unpacked three thats very important and then they go. Very lazy people i even tick no.2 if I need to refer them to somebody. Not at all with this company totally unacceptable very lazy. Before ai forget their Manager is totally useless man wanted to deliver the items even if you're not at home. I have posted live on facebook not recommending this Britannia Movers and all of the people can see that all boxes its not even unpacked even i pay for it . Good luck lazy company .

We are sorry to receive your negative review and offer you our sincere apologies for being disappointed with the service provided. Having investigated the issues raised in your review with the imports team, we can confirm the following:

Your delivery was booked for the 5th June 2026 at 8am (traffic dependent), however when this was being arranged our Operations Manager informed you that the delivery crew may call you the day before delivery date if they were ahead of their schedule and able to offer you an earlier delivery option. On this occasion, we were in a position to be able to offer you an earlier delivery for the afternoon of the 4th June 2026 which you declined and opted to proceed with the original delivery at 8am on the 5th June 2026 to avoid the delivery vehicle causing any obstruction to your neighbours returning from work. Further to this, we would never attempt to carry out a delivery without prior confirmation that either you or a nominated representative would be present to receive it. We require access to your property for delivery and someone must be available to sign the delivery documentation upon receipt.

We apologise for any miscommunication concerning the arrangement of your delivery and apologise that it was not picked up that your delivery address was to a townhouse with your kitchen positioned on the 1st floor. Unfortunately, the American fridge freezer and large TV were too big to maneuver up to the 1st floor without damage so it was agreed to place these items in your garage.

With regards to the unpacking, the crew were scheduled to undertake the unpacking onto flat surfaces as part of your delivery, however on this occasion you only wanted 2 x TV’s, American fridge freezer and a speaker unpacked by the crew.
