The delivery time was so long

The delivery time was so long, and then got a call to say it was going to be even longer. If it wasn’t for the nice lady that actually called me I would have asked for a refund. Wouldn’t recommend ordering online if you are in the South Island

Highly recommended

The bed is exactly as expected.
Medium firm for back support.
A local business whose customer service was excellent. My calls were answered promptly by a real person who was polite and organised delivery and setup as per my online purchase. Thank you 😊

Very easy to deal with

Very easy to deal with. Great communication through out. I got a bed for myself in Hastings and a bed for my nephew in Auckland. Both expetiences were top notch. Thanks

I know the bed was on sale but I was a…

I know the bed was on sale but I was a bit disappointed on the mattress as it was so hard like a board under me so I spent another $200 on buying toppers to be able to sleep comply, buying online can be a bit hit and miss.

Nelson store

I would not hesitate to return to the Nelson store, as they are the definition of " customer service"

Imperial Gel Purchase

I do not usually leave reviews but the service from Beds4U genuinely deserved one.

From the very beginning, the team was incredibly helpful, informative and patient.
I had quite a few conversations with them around different mattress options, headboard colour choices and what would suit our needs best.
At no point did I feel pressured. They actually took the time to understand what we were looking for and guided us properly.

The communication throughout the process was excellent and every question I had was answered clearly and honestly. You can tell they genuinely care about customer satisfaction rather than just making a sale.

The delivery team was also fantastic. Friendly, professional and very helpful during delivery and setup which made the whole experience smooth and stress free.

Overall, exceptional service from start to finish and I would happily recommend them to anyone looking for quality products backed by people who truly care about their customers.

Mediocre service

The store did not email or ring me to let me know bed was definetly there for pick up date for my online order. I sent an email on the day and rung the store on the day neither were answered. I even left a message on answer phone that wasn't answered. When I went into the store the service lady half way through a sentence stopped me picked up her personal cell phone answered it. Told the person she would have to ring them back and then proceeded to serve me. She was able to find the bed and showed me where it was to collect. But overall based on this service I would not recommend to others.

Thank you for your feedback, and we sincerely apologise for the experience you’ve described. We understand how frustrating it must have been not receiving timely communication regarding your order and the difficulty in reaching the store on the day.

We also apologise for the oversight. As Papakura is currently running End of Lease Sale, some of our sales team may be a bit confused with the offer structure, although this should have been offered at the time of purchase.

Your comments regarding the in-store service and communication have been noted and will be addressed with the team to ensure this does not happen again. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we’re glad the team was able to locate your bed for collection, but we agree the overall experience should have been much better.

Shop staff and manager were great to deal with.

Shop staff and manager were very accommodating in the Palmy store.
Need to be a bit clearer with their promotion on their website 'Spin and Win' as it doesn't state if it is in shop purchases only or online as well.

I’m extremely disappointed with my…

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Beds4U.

I purchased a bed and mattress on 25 January 2026 from the Lower Hutt store, clearly informing the sales team that I would be moving into my new home in the last week of March or the first week of April. Despite placing the order well in advance, as of 28 April 2026 my order is still incomplete.

While the bed base and mattress were delivered on 17 April, the delivery included the wrong bed base legs (photos attached). To date, the correct legs have not been provided. In addition, the headboard and pillow protectors listed on my invoice are still missing.

What’s most frustrating is the lack of communication—there has been no update or follow-up from the Lower Hutt store or the company.

This has been a very poor customer experience. Unfortunately, this will be my last purchase from Beds4U, and I would not recommend them based on this experience.

1. Prioritise sending out the correct bed base legs to you as urgent replacement
2. Investigate and confirm the status of your headboard and pillow protectors
3. Follow up directly with the Lower Hutt store and our delivery team to understand where the breakdown occurred
4. Ensure a team member contacts you with a clear update and delivery timeline

I also want to sincerely apologise for the lack of communication you’ve experienced. That should not have happened, and we will be addressing this internally.

To speed things up, could you please send your order number and best contact details along with the provided information to customerservice@beds4u.co.nz?

We’ll treat this as urgent and make sure it’s resolved properly.
