My daughter adores Art-K and is thrilled any time I book her in for a session. She always gets a lot out of it, and learns new skills.

What a wonderful experience for my two children! I have two anxious children but as soon as they stepped in they were made to feel at ease. They both felt the freedom to be artist but also both learnt a new skill.
Also, there are very few places that I can’t drop both my children at with 2 years difference.

Sarah is absolutely amazing, inspiring, has great understanding of her students and brings the best out of them. My daughter loves her classes.

My daughter loves the Art classes at Dorking, I can't recommend it enough.

My two children aged 9+11 attended a full day holiday course yesterday at Art-k and came out thrilled saying it was the best course they’ve done! Elle who ran the course in Dorking was super helpful and showed them some excellent techniques with watercolours and clay. They came out with some figures they’d made in clay and then painted, plus a sunset watercolour. It’s not cheap at £51 for 5 hours per child including an hour lunch but they really enjoyed the chilled out vibe doing art all day! A rare thing in school now and much less prescriptive. Making art fun again. Highly recommend.

I paid for two 12 years old to attend the the full day session at £51 per child. This was quite expensive and I was disappointed that they came back with one fairly simple piece of artwork each. I was assured when I booked it that the course would be tailored to their age and not younger, however they said that when they got there they started by having to colour a very simple fish drawing (which I saw when I dropped them off was being done by a much younger girl. I appreciate that there is an element of planning when undertaking all forms of art but in my opinion the products they completed could have been completed in half the time. I don’t think the day course was value for money. Sorry to write this but this is my opinion.

The staff are excellent - they work with each individual to improve their artwork in a supportive way. The teaching and environment are relaxed and fun. The projects are designed to build confidence and skills throughout the year.

This was my kids first time attending the holiday workshops. They enjoyed it thoroughly and could not wait for me to book more sessions. These workshops will definitely form part of our next holiday activities.

Really liked the studio and relaxed feel. Sarah, the art studio manager/teacher, is lovely - helpful and encouraging. For me, a one and a half hour slot is too short for an art class (comparing it with others I know about). It would have been nice to have some 'real objects', too, to draw or paint from: everyone seemed to be using a photocopy or picture of something...but I guess it's not a huge studio to accommodate that. Overall, I really enjoyed myself and would like to sign up for more classes in the future. Thank you for the great experience.

This is such a welcoming space for more accomplished artists wishing for a bit of a community to those of us who simply like to create!
All the materials are provided, and the guidance received from the tutors, who are lovely, is always spot on; helpful, positive and always extending and encouraging technique and knowledge.
You can bring your own ideas or chat things through and find inspiration in the class.
It’s the best hour and a half of my week, you never regret the time spent focussed in creativity! Such a treat. I’d recommend anyone to give it a go!

My son absolutely loves attending the Art-K classes. He is so excited and animated when he talks about it and has brought home some amazing pieces of work that he is very proud of!
