AA Car Insurance has been the worst motor insurance experience I have ever dealt with.

They were quick to take the payment when selling the policy, but when I actually needed support after a serious no-fault accident, they were nowhere to be found.

My car was left severely damaged and stranded on a dangerous bend. I had to argue with the AA operator to have it recovered immediately after being told it could sit there for 24–48 hours — despite the obvious safety risk.

Five days later, the car is still sitting in a recovery yard with no assessment completed and no clear communication from AA Ireland about when it will even be sent to a garage.

To make matters worse, they refuse to provide a courtesy car until the assessment is done, leaving me unable to work and unable to provide essential healthcare to vulnerable patients who depend on me.

At every stage, I have been left to chase, push, and sort things out myself. There has been no urgency, no ownership, and no meaningful support.

We pay insurance premiums so that when something goes wrong, the insurance company steps in and helps.

AA Ireland have done the exact opposite.

Absolutely useless service. Avoid at all costs.

The breakdown experience was frustrating as the car was working perfectly and to find a person who traveled possibly a long distance and was still in good humor and jovial made the short period he was with me very pleasant.
