had several faulty SATA hard drives by mail
on one occasion one of the faulty drives was also not the type and size specified
but refunds were very prompt when i returned to local shop

We have buy-in standards in place where we ensure to purchase fully working and good quality products. Additionally, we take measures to ensure that items are accurately listed and sold in accordance with their specifications, although the possibility of human error cannot be entirely eliminated.

Should there be any issues raised, we advise customers to return the item so it can be checked by our team, and a resolution can be offered as per our online returns policy.

It is good to know that you received your refund quickly. You may also be advised that, along with returning to stores, online orders can also be posted to us using our prepaid shipping label.

Another disappointing CEX expierence

I ordered a good few items, all in stock, delighted, I paid, I got dispatch emails, then I get 2 emails the next day telling me around 5 items are not in stock and that I'm getting refunded, if something is not in stock, make sure it states that on the website instead of taking peoples money and then hoping you have it in stock, who is keeping track of inventory for CEX? Fire them, hire me, this isn't cool, you guys have two jobs to do, buy and sell, you're good at buying, you won't make any mistakes there 😂

Thank you for your review and I am sorry that your recent purchase didn't go as planned.

Our stores make every effort to fulfil customer orders and we have guidelines in place to check the product specifications while processing them. However, at times, the stores notice that the item is incorrect, missing or unfit for online sale, thus, to avoid the inconvenience of returning the item to us, such orders are cancelled.

With the way our system works, we try to assign this item to another store depending on availability, however, this is not possible every time.

I bought 4 used HDD and 3 hard disks is…

I bought 4 used HDD and 3 hard disks is with not great condition ,when i tested all of them 3 discs have bad sectors,only 1 in immaculate condition. Better if i I'd buy new HDD's

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. I am sorry to hear that several of the hard drives you received were not performing as expected and showed bad sectors during testing. I understand how disappointing this would have been, especially after purchasing multiple drives.

As we deal in used goods, all items are tested before being bought in and resold. However, due to the unpredictable nature of electronic components, faults can occasionally develop or become apparent after further use and testing. Your feedback regarding the condition of the drives has been passed on to the relevant store management and testing teams for review.

You have the option to return the items for either a refund or a replacement. The items can be returned to any of our stores along with the invoice, or alternatively sent back to our warehouse by post.

Second time broken gpu

Twice in a row now I have bought a 3060 and both have had issues the first one lasted about a month the second had issues the day I got it and I bought it using the voucher and more on top from the returned GPU

The wrong Apple Watch was sent and it was locked ! Customer service was shocking ! My first time buying a refurbished item and I ended up going out and paying full price for a new one as this put me right off ! Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t ever order again
