The phone wasn't factory reset properly…

The phone wasn't factory reset properly from the shop and after I had been out all day the battery went flat then required a draw code to get into the phone that I hadn't set and must have been set by the previous owner. I was down the county at a wedding and had no phone for the weekend. It had to be reset again and whatever pictures and video I got at the wedding are now gone. It wasn't the most ideal situation.

Also when I went into the shop to see about getting a phone the staff in letterkenny were so unhelpful and bothered. That is why I had to order online. The customer service was very poor.

We request all customers to factory reset their devices and remove all personal data before handing them over for sale. Ordered online

Ordered online. Great experience. Only downside look of laptop in picture was different to what received. Expected silver finish to keyboard but got black all other specs were correct, so really happy.

Our stores make every effort to fulfil customer orders, and we have procedures in place to verify product specifications while processing them. However, there are occasions where a store identifies that an item is incorrect, incomplete, or unsuitable for online sale. In such cases, the order may be cancelled to avoid the inconvenience of the customer having to return the item later.

In such instances, our system will attempt to allocate the order to another store, subject to stock availability. If the item is no longer available, the remaining items within the order will be processed and you will only be charged for those items from our end.

Process was fast enough for an online sale although the lack of instructions on how to ship your item could be confusing, I figured it out but I can’t say the same for others

So here I am again

So here I am again, as a result of Backmarket letting me down for a camera and lens, I saw that Cex ireland had the same camera and I wanted, and again I picked and paid for them, but yet again I received a text to say the order is cancelled and a refund will be issued. I GIVE UP, no more ordering on line.

However, at times, the stores notice that the item is incorrect, missing or unfit for online sale, thus, to avoid the inconvenience of returning the item to us, such orders are cancelled.

With the way our system works, we try to assign this item to another store depending on availability; however, this is not possible every time.

Everything went as planned

Everything went as planned, I had a few issues partly my choice of hardware was the right one, this was swiftly and easy done by a young lady at the Navan store, first class service, well done, I was then given a voucher by her to buy something on line as the software i wanted wasn't available at the Navan branch, faultless transaction, very pleased

We recently ordered a Steam Deck online…

We recently ordered a Steam Deck online for click and collect at Athlone CeX. When collecting the item, we were told ID was required, which is completely understandable. However, we only had a photo of a passport at the time, and while the website policy doesn’t clearly state that the ID must be physically present, the staff immediately dismissed us without any real attempt to help or explain politely.

The issue wasn’t the policy itself, rules are rules and we respect that. What made the experience unpleasant was the attitude and manner of the staff. They were blunt, dismissive, and repeatedly spoke to us in a way that felt unnecessarily rude and unhelpful.

In the end, we had to cancel the order completely and reorder it under my name because I had my physical driver’s licence with me. Thankfully that worked, but the whole situation could have been handled far more professionally and courteously.

Very disappointing customer service experience overall.

For Click & Collect orders, customers are required to present a valid form of identification upon collection. Unfortunately, if ID cannot be provided, or if the details on the ID do not match those of the person who placed the order, we are unable to release the purchased items. Please note that all identification documents must be current, original, and photocopies cannot be accepted.

Bought blue ray disc from cex

Bought blue ray disc from cex. It was one I've wanted for a long time. Cex have a great range of stock of blue rays and dvds. Movie came in great time well packaged. I checked the disc because with blue rays any scratches can be bad news. I'd say it was never even played or just played once. Mint condition. Always excellent experience with cex
