Scamadviser.com, BBB.com, #reportscam.com, mamma.com, canadainf.com, and all the comments on Hero Outdoors facebook page. All speak to the 1 star ratings from hundreds of unsatisfied victims of Hero Outdoors dealings. I'm getting my money back soon from my bank. Snatched back out of the hands of these two-bit, wanna-be scam artists. Keep padding the reviews with 5-Star fake ones because the innocent people you have been duping will continue with their 1-Star truths.

The 4 purchases I bought from Hero, I have no complaints. The longest I waited for a package was 3 weeks but in the end it was worth it. I plan on making another order very soon. Customer service was polite and curtious.

We like your website and the products offered. Your inability to completely supply everything in our order however is frustrating! Service is very slow and not getting everything you order is very frustrating! We like your selection of products on your site but inability to complete our order is not acceptable! Thanks!

I'm not going to get into the exact details, but I ordered an optic from Hero Outdoors. For the next 20 days I had emailed and phone called to find out when my optic was being shipped. No replies and recordings for phone messages. I then opened a dispute on Paypal to get a refund for an optic that is obviously not in their inventory. They FINALLY emailed me back that they were sorry I wanted a refund. NO RESOLUTION to my problem. They give me another email address to contact them, "to work it out". They deliberately try and steer you away from the Paypal site because Paypal monitors the dispute. So I start seaching online for any Hero Outdoors shady-doings. The search came up with 130 complaints at the Better Business Bureau, 92 complaints at Trustpilot.com. So I email Hero Outdoors new email address and ask again for a refund that is obviously not in their inventory. And it's been 20 days with not contact from them (I email on a Wednesday). I get an email back with Hero Outdoors timetable of the week when they answer emails (Monday To Thursday). If it's too late in the week they cannot answer back until the following Monday. then it might take up to 2 days or more to reply. Now this is how they work, stall as long as they can until the 20 days of allowed time to resolve the dispute is over and Paypal closes it for good. I immediately raise the dispute to a claim and inform Paypal of the 2 attempts I've made for resolution and Hero Outdoors stall tactics. I also alerted Paypal to this company being "Red Flagged" at the BBB and the tactics they employ on customers. I GOT MY MONEY BACK. Not everyone is lucky. Alot of people fall for Hero Outdoors promise that their products are being shipped, if only they drop their claims. They end up with no product and their money gone. I advise everyone reading this to do their research of Hero Outdoors. I have also found complaints on canadainf.com, scamadviser.com, #reportscam, and Yelp. Pass on this info like I am so others may have a chance to sidestep this atrocious company. P.S, I cast my vote for Hero Outdoors at scamadviser.com.

I read some reviews about Hero outdoors after I ordered once from them during the beginning of the pandemic. I got scared that I'd lost my money but one of the two items I ordered arrived after waiting. And I got refunded for the missing item. I re-ordered with the missing item a while later and it arrived a few months down the line. That was in 2020 when Coronavirus first hit and it seemed reasonable that their supply chain had been slowed. However I ordered an item that was on sale on March 21st of 2021 and it got shipped a day later and it arrived at my house a week later, then on the day it arrived I ordered something else. And it got shipped the next day and Canada post says it'll arrive in 6 days. Today I made my biggest order yet and I doubt they will disappoint. As I have experienced delays but I've never experienced missing items that weren't refunded or misleading items or anything that'd drive my business off to another website or retailer. I've yet to buy airsoft toys from them but I've ordered airsoft parts, shoes, clothes. And now military surplus items and every time they'd deliver. My experience with them got better after they had time to adapt to the virus and I can only hope that this business earns more of my trust.

Terrible online retailer. This online retailer does not stock what shows available on their web site. They will then charge your credit card not on shipment but on order, and hold your funds until they see fit. I ordered (3) items on 1/19. They immediately charged my card and responded via email and stated two of the items were out of stock. I asked them to cancel the entire order as the one item I really needed was not in stock, and didn't want to pay shipping on only one item. No response. Emailed again. No response. Called their customer service multiple times over the next two weeks and either stayed on hold indefinitely or the phone rang indefinitely. Finally initiated a credit card dispute with my bank and evidently only when they received the bank dispute inquiry on 3/15 they shipped the one item and refunded the balance of the unshipped items.

They do not accept returns or exchanges on any online orders. So I was stuck paying shipping charges that almost equaled the value of the one item that shipped.

Horrible, never again. Made a purchase a month ago, still shows awaiting fulfillment after a month. No response to email, web messaging on their site, and the phone is busy most times, if you get through it is just a recorded message. Worst company I have ever ordered from. Not sure if a scam or not.

Dishonest company deceitful company! Thievery! I am not a kid, I am a 51 year old attorney buying Airsoft products for my kids.

I bought two Airsoft products from Hero in October of 2020. After two months the product still wasn’t shipped. I called after 2 months and they said product will be shipped soon. By February the products still weren’t shipped. No status ever sent. After 2 more months passed I tried calling customer service to find out where was the product but they had my number blocked. I finally got through by using my wife’s phone and the rep said the product was no longer available they will not get it in again. I asked about a full refund but they said they would send my “request” to finance. A “request” for something they charged me for but never shipped they never had and will never get in??? Unbelievably crooked!

I looked on my credit card statement to find on a $59 order ($29 product, $30 shipping) they would only refund me $29, they would not return the shipping on something they never shipped to me!!!!! This is called theft!

I tried to call them but then found they blocked not just my number but my wife’s number!!!! So then I had to use my work phone to get through. The rep on the phone said they could not refund my shipping on a product they never shipped the n the first place!!!!

I finally had to file a claim with PayPal.

This company needs to be investigated by the Attorney General and shut down ASAP! I feel sorry for kids that order and get ripped off from this company. Crooks.

Very poor customer service. First, I ordered a used product that was in very poor condition, sold at a price similar to a new item. Then they refused to refund me and asked to use the store credit. I purchased a different item, and 10 days later it hasn't shipped yet. I tried to call customer service a few times and always I was placed on hold for more than 15 minutes, while reminded that I am the first customer in line. They won't reply to emails either. I wouldn't purchase anything from them again. Not sure why they list products if they don't have them in stock.

Excellent selection of military surplus! I ran into some difficulty and the staff were happy to help and the issue was fixed within days. Some stuff was a little more used condition and some stuff was almost like new. I will shop there again!

i have now ordered about 6 times from hero outdoors. items were as described, well packed and shipped rapidly. i trust them.

Always gets orders processed and shipped quickly and gives you a choice between shipping by air or surface once they are ready to send it and invoices for any extra costs in shipping fees.

The huge selection of quality goods is excellent. Pricing is fair and shipping is speedy!
I have not been able to get any response to inquiries by email nor can I get through on the phone. This is the only problem I have had. Otherwise I am pleased over all.

I truly appreciate the courtesy and professionalism of the staff. They have great prices and their shipping always surprises me. I love this store!
