Do not waste your money!!!
I initially tried Fitbar as a trial and found the food to be good. Encouraged by this, I committed to a 6-month subscription after being offered a deal. Unfortunately, the quality of the food deteriorated drastically soon after.
I gave Fitbar multiple chances to improve, raising my concerns repeatedly, but nothing changed. Despite submitting detailed complaints and photos to the management, the only response I received was that there is a no cancellation policy.
Fitbar’s approach feels deceptive - they entice you to sign up for a subscription, collect payment upfront, and then fail to deliver on their promises. Currently, I am not receiving any food, and my complaints are being ignored.
Here are the specific issues I encountered:
- Unwashed vegetables, like spinach with noticeable sand, are unacceptable.
- Food was delivered in a paper bag despite only 1 replacement cooler bag at home, leading to spoiled full day of food after returning home late.
- Calorie calculations are inconsistent and inaccurate: four small egg and vegetable muffins (291g) are listed as having more fat and the same calories as four large Swiss cheese egg omelets (408g). Swiss cheese egg omelets weigh 40% and full of cheese!
- The minced meat is chewy, containing cartilage, indicative of very low quality. I requested only minced beef to be removed from my plan, yet all beef dishes were removed, leaving only chicken and shrimp options.
- The minced chicken also contains cartilage, again highlighting poor quality.
- The snacks consist only of cakes or pizza – hardly fitting for a healthy diet
- Some breakfasts are simply bread. This doesn’t align with claims of a balanced, nutritious plan.
- Additionally, portion sizes and weights are inconsistent, making it impossible to manage calorie intake accurately with this meal service.
- Fitbar has failed to correctly manage subscription holds, delivering food despite clear instructions on start and end dates for holds, and resulting in wasted deliveries.
- Numerous issues have been raised with customer service and the operations manager, yet there has been no improvement, despite repeated promises to address these concerns.
