BCC are absolutely useless. I have reported a repair online on April 24th & am still waiting to see or even hear from Open View, whom need to come out & fix my broken door system.

Bristol does have the Worst Roads and Footpaths all over the city Highway s need to get Bristol roads and Footpaths repaired URGENTLY NOW
The "clean air" zone is a blatant…
The "clean air" zone is a blatant ripoff pure and simple. The whole place is covered in graffiti and looks like it needs a good clean. After reading about the city we thought it was worth a visit. Sadly we were wrong. As a family we will never go back. Personally, I thought it was a dump.
Bristol
Bristol. What an unfriendly town. I cannot believe I spent time and money in this town. I will never go back. Driving in Bristol, following GPS and traffic will lead you into Bus Lane violations, with no way to escape except by turning around or driving on the wrong side of the street. I was not even aware I was in a Bus Lane until two months later when I got the L68 fee from my rental car company and the L35 fine from the unfriendly city of Bristol. So far, I have received two violations. I hope I do not get more.
Awful council authority..travelled from…
Awful council authority..travelled from Bristol airport in June was early and hungry so went to look for a garage or somewhere to grab a sandwich had a £69 Fine through door few weeks later as it said I'd entered low emission zone and should've paid £9 I wrote letter appealing on grounds of not being local and unaware of the charge and asked to retrospectively pay the £9 hadn't heard nothing in months so assumed maybe they'd done the decent thing and written it off then received a new notice £129 and it said as they'd not received any correspondence which isn't true I can no longer appeal what a bunch of horrible people I'll never fly from Bristol airport again or put a single penny in this councils economy bunch of robbing b######s
Clean air zone
Clean air zone, NOT CLEAR. £69 fine. Never visit again, keep Your fine!
Should not be a 'County'
As a resident of Bristol, l have to agree with the bad comments on here. The council may enforce the ULEZ but they enforce nothing else. The mayor has been so low profile he may as well not exist. He is useless. The council are very quick to take your money but not so keen when it comes to refunds. Trying to get help or info on the phone is virtually impossible and web site not any better.
Bristol should have it's 'County' status taken away.
Easy Cash for Middle Class Southerners as Usual
Hadn't been to Bristol before. Followed Google map through city. Stuck to main roads. Didn't realise I was passing through clean air zone. Fined £140 which will go towards virtue signaling middle class southerners.

Visitor tricked by unadvertised clean air zone
Thief’s and useless council !!
How to wipe Bristol off the map!
The council cannot improve. A tax on the poor in worst times ever. No clear signs. So no idea if you have been in the zone. Council cannot tell you. Advice today from them is pay if you think you entered but no refund if you didn't!
Council if you want to rip us off have the decency to make the zone clear.
Council enjoy the money in the short term cos when the shops are closing and airport users use alternatives we'll be the ones laughing.
Received PCN charge £69 sent 4/8/23…
Received PCN charge £69 sent 4/8/23 driving in CAZ 11/7/23 paid begrudgingly as haven’t seen signs yet, not from area and on way back from airport and as car is tax exempt due to low emissions thought it didn’t apply even if I knew it was a clean air zone. Then received charge certificate for £189 for a penalty notice for 7/7/23 (on way to airport) saying I hadn’t paid notice I was served on the 1/8/23 (I haven’t received anything from that date) so stung me for 2 charges and told it was to late to appeal (appealed first charge no reply) I suggest you put green chevrons on road not sneaky little signs people are suppose to see whilst concentrating on traffic and road. Absolutely sneaky disgusting way to claw money off hard working people that’s 2 weeks wages you’ve ripped me off. Avoid Bristol altogether if you’re going to airport I am l livid won’t be going there again. Have here since friend had bailiffs round clamping his car and he received no penalty charges notices at all and ended up paying £2000 to get car unclamped. Should hang heads in shame but then you don’t care !!!!!
1.4 STARS IS ABOUT RIGHT
1.4 STARS IS ABOUT RIGHT.
Horrible money grabbing scheme, they just get folks where they can.
Clean air zone charge is fair but the way it’s played by the council is shameful.
I just applied for a refund for the clean air zone charge few hours after I booked my car to go to Bristol the next day. I was going to go to Bristol Uni to an open day but plans changed.
I applied for refund clearly as that £9 means a lot to me sadly, otherwise I wouldn’t have bothered right.!
Few days later I get an email stating that they can’t give refunds for such reason.
“We are unable to process refunds where a payment has been made but the vehicle then didn't enter the zone on that date.“
Surely that’s the exact feathery should give someone their money back!?? My car didn’t for a second effect the emissions in Bristol that day.
So ye, whatever excuse they can make up they run with it and your hard earned cash.
Legally mugged with CAZ PCN
Bristol councillors Take a look at your trustpilot reviews and do the decent thing and ***KING resign. £189 PCN to drive through the City No signage on approach, no honest appeal procedure.. Fascist behaviour that would make Putin wince.. Thanks for stealing food off my family's table. It will be a cold day in hell before I visit Bristol again. ***K YOU!
this council is the worst council in…
this council is the worst council in the UK,
I have never experienced such poor…
I have never experienced such poor customer experience in my 35-year working career. They take £500 from me in a flash for a planning application, I cancel it after waiting more than 7 months for an answer!!! Then I am told I can't have a refund. There is not a single person who can speak to me about this, it's email-only communication. If you were a private business, you would have no business! Shocking and feel sorry for the staff who have to put up with your terrible decisions on processes and customer values
I was denied a copy of cctv and lied to…
I was denied a copy of cctv and lied to and despite contating the mayor who was very rude and hostile to me more than once, they have ignored my DPA request. I am of the opinion that the only explanation is racial praejudice, Bristol do not like antipodeans. My right to cctv in an RTA is further to article 15 of the HR act and UK law. They have withheld this cctv pruposefully and illegally re an accident on the 8.2.2020 in Baldwin Stteet when hit by a negligent taxi driver.they destroyed the cctv clearly intentionally knowing I had requested it and have withheld it deliberately . this is illegal and the Mayor was asked to intervene but he did not.Lying is the same as alcoholism. Liars prevaricate even on their deathbed.” –Anton Chekhov

Why we have CCTV cameras
Bristol Council cynical CAZ
Bristol Council operate a CAZ that is a cynical toll on through traffic. It does not reduce pollution because through traffic has nowhere to go to avoid the polluted areas. It is also unfair on motorists from Wales. Also it os 'not possible' to refund tolls that proved unnecessarily paid for. Also if 12midnight passes a second toll is levied. Just a cynical money-grubbing tactic, probably outsourced to an agent company
CAZ Zone rip off
Tourists Avoid Bristol - They will start charging you to breathe soon.
