10+ years a Sharkie
I've been buying from BlackMilk since 2013...and am still wearing some of those dresses today! I still love BlackMilk and their clothing makes up the majority of what I wear, but can still see why people are upset about some of the fabric. The fabrics differentiate between styles, for example the dress shirts tend to be a light fabric, which suits the style IMO (I have 4...). Their bombers, pinafore dresses, and strappy mini are fantastic. Recently been getting into their long sleeve shirts too which are excellent for lounging in. I generally buy things on sale so don't have complaints about those prices, and still buy things full price when I think they'll sell out. There was a period 5 years ago where my items seemed to be instantly pilling (Even bought a pilling shaver for them) but actually think it has improved since. Shipping is reasonable, can take time to send out but I'm usually buying during sale time. Thanks to the BM team for future orders :)

Overpriced for the novelty of an interesting print
There was a huge sale on and I decided to buy some stuff when on special. The fabric was incredibly poor quality for most of the items. I appreciate that it has to be synthetic for sublimation prints but still the fabric was very thin and Temu level, some items were not hemmed. No excuse for not finishing a garment. I also purchased a velvet dress, again unhemmed and the nap ran in the opposite direction to traditional velvet garments. So weird. Ok for the price I paid but I would have been destroyed had I purchased at full price. Probably won’t bother buying from them again.

We just wanted to mention that we include fabric details in each product description, and also note when garments are intentionally left unhemmed and the direction that velvet pieces run in. These design choices are always outlined there so customers can get a clearer idea of the garment before purchasing.
While the fabrics we use are designed to be lightweight for comfort and printing, they’re also made to be sturdy, so unhemmed styles won't fray over time 🖤

The bombers and hoodies from Black Milk are really cool. Wish they did more shirts with a dip hem but the patterns are cool so ill be buying more regardless.

Bonjour, je me permets de mettre ce commentaire tandis que je n’ai même pas eu de première expérience, je CROULE sous les mails de ce site!! Comment c’est possible d’envoyer presque autant de notifications qu’un certain grand site chinois… pour rien, en quelques jours seulement je me sens harcelée, j’ai donné mon accord pour une newsletter, pas un spam intempestif et ça m’a tellement énervée que je préfère éviter finalement tout achat sur la plateforme qui pourtant me tenter beaucoup.

Expensive shein quality clothes
Their items are so expensive for what the materials are. They used to be made in australia so i could justify the prices back then but now its all made in china. And the materials is mostly polyester. I dont understand why i would pay $130 CAD for a 82% polyester dress? The prints are cool sure but a simple skater dress should not be that much.

Polyester has always been a core part of many of our pieces because our prints are created using sublimation, which allows the artwork to become part of the fabric rather than sitting on top of it. This is what gives our designs their vibrant colours, sharp detail, and durability over time.
Our pricing also reflects the custom artwork, smaller production runs, and the specialised printing process used to create our pieces. While our garments are now produced with long-term manufacturing partners overseas, we continue to work closely with them to maintain the quality and construction our community expects.
We also list the fabric composition on every product page so customers can check the material details before purchasing.

The quality is poor and they make it look like you are buying the brand name there NOT
And the sizes are not what they say don’t waste your time or money and the delivery takes forever to arrive

Drastic drop in Quality
I used to love buying Blackmilk years ago- but the last few years the quality has dropped significantly. Designs no longer feel flattering, the fabric quality is thinner, the stirching feels less secure. I bought a dress from the LOTR collection for my Christmas party this year- when I received the dress in the mail, I actually had to go back and check to make sure I hadn't been duped by a Blackmilk knockoff site! That's where the Blackmilk quality is at the moment- it feels like a cheap knockoff of the Blackmilk of several years ago. Like you're ordering off Shein.

Look good, feel cheap
Honestly they look great but feel cheap- while they look great on me initially I am honestly scared to wash these as I feel one wash is going to ruin them they feel THAT cheap. Not really good considering their prices...

Temu/shein quality, with no care about proper measurement of the clothes.
The quality is REALLY cheap. The same kind you would get from temu and shein. I also had issues with their CSR team. I emailed them for measurements of their pant lengths BEFORE purchasing. They were actually 3 inches shorter than the quoted amount. I had to argue with their team in order to get just a store credit after also paying almost $50 in duties. Just terrible service and will never be buying from them again.

The customer service representative was amazing and communicative.
The customer service representative was so communicative and helpful when at no fault of the company, my package sent to the U.S. from Australia wound up in Canada and back to Australia. She follow-up with steps and never made it feel like I was a burden. When the U.S. Tariffs hit, and the package had to be resent, she outline options for my package. I don't think I could have had a better customer experience.

Terrible quality for the price and doesn't last
The quality of the clothing is the same as Shein and Temu and only lasts a couple of wears, I've bought a few pieces over the years and it's always the same result

Creative and Kind
The clothes at Black Milk are incredibly creative so I ordered a dress as a gift. There was an issue with the delivery of my order, but the kind people at Black Milk resolved it without any fuss. The person who received the dress was thrilled!

Every piece is unique
I have bought several pieces from BlackMilk since February 2023, and everything has been incredible quality! Had a little open seam in my last dress, but the team quickly came with a generous solution to fix the issue and I am very pleased with the kindness and service this team has shown me. Absolutely my favorite store!

Unlined and un-hemmed polyslester, $160 dress worse than $20 quality
I got a $160 dress (used a 10% off voucher since it was full price but still a rip off) and I thought at that price the dress would at least be lined!!! It doesn't even have hemming!! I can imagine this will just fray very quickly. I've had better quality from SHEIN. First time and last time buyer. All these recent positive reviews sound so fake and in the same tone like they're from the same person. Don't believe them. Believe the previous 1 star reviews because this is the worst quality I've ever seen for so much money. I've never returned an item in my life but I am just so appaled at this that I think I might have to. Maybe they had a good thing going in their heyday but definitely not now. Avoid!

Just to clarify, this style is designed to be unlined and unhemmed intentionally, so it has a soft, free-flowing drape that moves naturally. We do include this detail in our product descriptions, but we get this can be easy to miss in the excitement of purchasing. The fabric is carefully chosen to hold up over time, so it wont fray, but get that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
About the recent positive reviews... we promise they’re real! We do encourage customers to leave a review when they’ve had a great experience, but we never tell them what to say, and it’s simply not possible for one person to leave multiple reviews from the same account.
We really value feedback like yours, and hope that one day we get the chance to win you back and show you a piece that really hits the mark. Thank you again for being honest, it genuinely helps us do better.

Amazing customer service experience
Amazing customer service experience! I had a few issues with placing my order and Renee, who I spoke with, sorted everything right out! This company has great quality clothing, is reasonably priced, well constructed and always super cute and flattering.
