1. City Link Express has only 1 line number and always engaged, nobody pick up your call and can happen for few days although you keep pressing the recall for whole days. 2. If you manage to contact them, the consignment status is a lie, they just simply key without any knowlegde on the item status. 3. Even you give them the consignment number, they will lie to you saying missing 1 number if they screw up the consignment status. 4. They claims flight shipment from China to Singapore takes 4 days! They also claims custome clearnace takes days in SIngapore but I have done many times custom clearance which take maximum to half day only! 5. They will only deliver your shipment 4 days after they had received your shipment at your local office. So it will take 2 weeks to deliver to your after your order. 6. Delivered items will not be in top condition, will have slight wears and tears. 7. Customer service are very rude and even you cpmplained,it is useless because this company culture is linked to their HQ culture. 8. Local post office are faster and cheaper.
Living in a remoter part of Scotland for the best part of 20 years couriers are a way of life. A few years back I had had repeated bad experiences with City Link and vowed not to use them again. I ordered a fragile item on line and on on contacting the supplier for the consignment ref my heart sank when I was told it was City Link. Well, I put my hand up, I was proved wrong!! Excellent service, arrived within the window and outside normal hours, and a very courteous driver to boot!! To quote Arnie "I'll be back"
This was a delivery (from Reading area) ordered on Saturday and promised for Monday. Even so, delivery by 9am was pretty darn fast and almost caught me out - I'd told the sender that I could be out until 10am but this info didn't reach City Link. Very courteous driver, would recommend City Link as a delivery service.
I had a bit of fairly heavy machinery delivered by City Link recently - around 120kg, so not light. The depot forgot to send it out the day they said they would, but a call centre worker got it all sorted out and out for delivery in the afternoon. The driver was incredibly helpful - even helped me unpack and reposition the machine. Top work.
they are the worst ever amazon use them and more fall them they are taunting there name with lies u wait in all day get things from others them they claim no one was in and mess you about happen to me now 2 times and amazon really need to let them go under and good job
City Link have recently surpassed UPS as my favourite courier.
FedEx are a bit tricky to deal with DPD often don't bother coming Yodel are...well...you know... (chocolate teapot) Parcel Force are also very good but I don't get to deal with them often TNT are also great but again, I rarely deal with them.
All my City Link deliveries come before 8am (usually just after half seven). This is fantastic as it means I never miss a delivery - I haven't left for work yet. I always miss other couriers because they don't come until midday at the earliest.
My driver (I've never asked his name) is very courteous, and quite charming. He always makes friendly conversation, and manages to make something as mundane as signing for a parcel into quite an enjoyable social function.
City Link's delivery time also has the added benefit of making lie-ins a thing of the past - I'm always at work on time now! On the other hand, my driver has my sympathy as I've answered my front door in some states at half seven!
I have tested this courier service out fully to see how good they are, and i can honestly say i will NOT be using this company ever again. They have failed collection not once but 2 times on several occasion and sometime 3 times. I have many unhappy customers due to this company not collecting my parcels to deliver. This has happened many times so i have now concluded never to use them again!. Think very hard when using these guys.. they will fail you 70% of the time. You are very luck if you get a good service first time round but try them again i can assure you that you will soon find out how they perform.
Left a message on my document in the additional notes "neighbours are friendly - 102" and the degenerate incompetent delivery driver could not link the dots. So now my parts I'm waiting for to fix my car of which I have booked time off to do is now on hold purely down the degenerate member of staff I was unlucky enough to be dealt. To top it off I get smug little moron with nothing but glee in his voice about my predicament. I find this disgusting and unacceptable. Yes they can hide behind call centres. But they still have bills to pay. Like insurance. I wonder what would happen if every disgruntled customer took it upon themselves to exact sweet justice to there vans. Being in the insurance industry I can imagine the fleet insurance costs would sky rocket. Hopefully forcing them out of business. We can but hope. Bored of collecting mail from post offices.
Got email on the morning of the collection day 31st March to say that collection would be between 09:00 and 17:30, I stayed in all day and at 17:30 used the Live Chat to find out why the parcel hadn't been collected although the Tracking said that it had. Live Chat person Rowan said the tracking was wrong and that in any event collections were between 07:30 and 18:30, I kept him talking until 18:30 and parcel still not collected so cancelled my order and asked for a refund. Following morning I went to Motherwell depot to complain, they phoned the driver and apparently he had picked up parcels from a different address, and they had been delivered and signed for before I got home. Got email from Samantha Barker on 7th April to say that Request for Refund was refused because the tracking said that the parcels had been collected and delivered. I emailed twice to explain that it was not my parcels that had been collected and delivered but no response. Used Live Chat again this morning, 10th April to find out what was happening, told by Sarah that she was waiting for a reply from the depot and would have an answer for me today, I asked what if I didn't get an answer today and she promised that I would. At 5pm used Live Chat again to see why Sarah had not given me an answer and Dianne was unable to help because she was waiting for the depot to respond. The Live Chat people say they don't have any phones and can only communicate to other members of the same company by email, if Rowan had been able and willing to phone the driver when I first called this would have been avoided, if Sarah or Dianne had been able or willing to call the depot they could have had an answer today, but unfortunately I will have to wait. I wonder if the MD knows that his employees are trying to destroy his company, he soon will!
Fantastic service from City Link having launched their On Our Way service.- I've personally always had great service from this Company but to now be able to go about my business and know when I need to be home to receive goods. I don't have to stress about school runs or being in the office and can just meander home to receive my goods.
The 2 hour delivery slot was achieved, Sadly I was unsure hor accurate this was and stayed in all day until delivery was received at 15:47. I would probably be more confident next time a City Link delivery is made.
My goods from Amazon were scheduled for delivery yesterday - the time slot was changed twice, the order didn't come. Rescheduled for this morning, didn't come. Website tracking showed "Apologies, we're running late". As I couldn't wait in any longer for the order, I called the Customer Service number. After suffering a voice activated information service, I spoke to an agent who informed me that I had asked for delivery to be rescheduled for tomorrow! I advised her I certainly had not and if not me, who had done this? On being pushed, she eventually said it was probably the depot. I was also told my address was not found! No other delivery company has had trouble finding it. She also admitted she didn't really know what was going on, but assured me she would get the order rescheduled for tomorrow before 12. I don't hold out much hope after reading the comments on this site and others on the web. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
